A song
We are so carefully intertwined
Through heart, hand, soul and mind,
I'll wipe your tears before they fall,
Lift you up when you feel small.
For when you hurt, I feel it here,
Your stress, your worry, pain and fear.
I'll protect you from your demons
I'll be here through all life's seasons.
You have my hand, you have my heart,
And if you need to fall apart,
I swear I won't leave you behind,
I'm here, love, we are intertwined.Though storm clouds follow you around
I'll chase them out and erase your frown.
Let me hold you, just let me in,
Don't keep your feelings tucked within.
And when you toss and turn at night
I'll tell you stories till morning light
Or till you fall to dreamland in my arms.
I'll whisper my words in your ear
Of memories that we hold dear
And when you sleep I'll keep you from all harm.Or I'll sing to you
I'll help you through,
And when you're down and feeling blue,
I'll hold you close,
And make sure that you know...That we are intertwined,
You and I,
And oh, I hope you know,
I'll hold you till you fall asleep,
And give to you my wings to keep
Until you grow your own
For you and I,
Darling, we are intertwined,
We are intertwined. And though you're shaking
And nearly breaking
I swear I won't let go.
I know it's hard to breathe sometimes
And mountains seem they can't be climbed
But I'll sing to you
I'll help you through,
And when you're down and feeling blue,
I'll hold you close,
And make sure that you know...That we are intertwined,
You and I,
And oh, I hope you know,
I'll hold you till you fall asleep,
And give to you my wings to keep
Until you grow your own
For you and I,
Darling, we are intertwined,
We are intertwined.© 2015
