This world is a playground for us to run free.
There is so much to live for and so much to see. There's wind and there's sunshine, and birdies that tweet.
There's stars in the sky and newborns' small feet.
There's laughter and kisses and coffee for two,
There's love and there's joy, and there's me and you. There's kittens and puppies and soft, fluffy fur.
There's cookies and cake and hot chocolate to stir.
There's swingsets and children who giggle and play,
There's cozy, warm beds at the end of the day. There's bookstores and music and art shows and dance,
There's athletes and people who talk with their hands.
There's rain clouds and puddles to jump in and splash,
There's stories to tell and there's parties to crash. There's snow days and sledding and throwing snowballs,
There's stuffed animals and little old dolls.
There's movies and popcorn and soft beanbag chairs,
There's joy in remembering somebody cares. There's gardens to water and jokes to be told,
There's pictures to take and babies to hold.
There's gifts to unwrap and Christmas carols to sing,
There's neighbors to visit and doorbells to ring. There's hugs and there's handshakes you've not given yet,
There's friends and a soulmate you still haven't met.
There's words to be spoken and smiles to give,
There's beautiful things in this life that you live. There's so much to live for, if you look around.
The world's overflowing with blessings abound.
Joy can be found in every nook,
So explore this life's playground; you just have to look.© 2015
