I still remember
Days our footprints stained the shore
When our eyes shone like the moonbeams
When we asked for nothing more.I still remember
How the wind carried us far
How we sailed across the harbor
And we danced among the stars.I still remember
How the breeze of heaven spoke
How we smiled as we slept
And we dreamed when we awoke.I still remember
That grand look upon your face
As we ventured through the world
How we left without a trace.I still remember
When the sunsets came too fast
When we soared through galaxies
Creating memories to last.I still remember
How the air got colder still,
How the days were growing shorter
Filled with heaven's gentle chill.I still remember
How the autumn came to dawn,
Now we're captured in a photograph
Of one more summer gone.© 2015
