We're all a bit lost
In this rhythm of life
Each day like the beat of a drum,Our stars a bit crossed
While I'm wandering, searching
For the person I've not yet become. But freeze
Just for a moment,
Look around and
Everything's fine.Just breathe
Stop where you are
And look around at
This beautiful life.Sometimes I close my eyes
And listen to the sound
Of laughter or of music,
Or of footsteps on the ground. The world still spins
And summer fades to fall.
But sometimes it feels as though
nothing's changed at all.Sometimes it feels as though
nothing's changed at all.I still see it now,
Looking out on the city,
At 2 A.M. on the 21st floor.Or here in our town,
From the fireside to car rides,
Who could ask for anything more? When we'd stop freeze
Just for a moment,
Look around and
Everything's fine.We'd breathe
Right where we are,
And look around at
This beautiful life.Sometimes I close my eyes
And listen to the sound
Of laughter or of music,
Or of footsteps on the ground. The world still spins
And summer fades to fall.
But sometimes it feels as though
nothing's changed at all.Sometimes it feels as though
nothing's changed at all.Sometimes I close my eyes
And think of all that's passed,
From sunrise to navy skies
And time that went too fast. The world still spins
And summer fades to fall.
But sometimes it feels as though
nothing's changed at all.Sometimes it feels as though
nothing's changed at all.
