"PAPA YIB, beyps! Beyps!"
"Hoy, tol! Nagbe-vape anak mo!? Gago ka, underage pa 'yan!" the adjective "wide" isn't enough to describe Edyzel's eyes right now.
Finx covered Daphney's eyes and hit Edyzel with his left hand. "Infant pa nga lang 'yung bata." Finx said with annoyance.
I laughed. "She meant grapes."
Tumayo ako at iniwan muna si Daphney kasama sina Finx at Edyzel. I opened the fridge and took the seedless grapes I purchased for Daphney. I went to kitchen sink and have them rinsed. I put them all in a small purple fruit bowl. Nagtimpla na rin ako ng gatas ni Daphney.
If you're asking why those two are here, 'di ko rin alam. I was busy writing a weekly student report until they came with stuff toys and cotton candies. Bigla bigla na lang nadating nang walang pasabi.
But that's actually good. I have something to ask and confirm to Finx.
"Hoy." It was Melai who just closed the bathroom door. Bagong ligo ito at may nakalagay pang bath towel sa ulo.
"Hmm?" I quickly responded.
"Ba't ang ingay ro'n? At nasa'n si Daphney?" she asked and took a peek at our small service area.
"What? Akala ko narinig mo ang sinabi ko kanina," I washed the spoon I used and dried it up.
"Nandoon - "
"Rinig ko ang boses ni Finx. Pero may isa pa," she cut my words.
I smiled. "Still remember Edyzel?"
Her eyebrows furrowed. "Wala akong kilalang Edyzel."
"Siguro kilala mo siya sa Edz."
She raised her left eyebrow. "Sino bang Edz?"
I chuckled. "Come with me. Let's join them."
"Akin na 'yang grapes."
Melai took the fruit bowl and walked towards our service area. Sinundan ko siya at narinig kong nagbatian sila roon. It was Edz's voice na pilit pinapaalala kay Camela kung sino siya.
Sinalubong ko ang may hawak na grapes sa magkabilang kamay na si Daphney. She also has a grape in her mouth.
"Ang amos mo na agad." I commented, laughing.
Binuhat ko si Daphney sa kanang braso habang dala ko sa kaliwa ko ang gatas niya. We sat on our single couch as I put the glass of milk on the glass table.
"Baaabaaa Yiiiibbbb!" she called me while grinning as I'm busy wiping her mouth.
"Hmmmm?" Hinabaan ko rin ang tono ko gaya ng sa kaniya.
Ininguso niya ang hawak ni Edz.
"Oh, what's that?" I asked, pretending I don't know what she's trying to say.
"Bochon benji?" she smiled and tilt her head.
I heard Finx and Melai's giggles not until I gave them my meaningful look. Si Edz naman, mukhang naaaliw sa eksena naming mag-ama.
