I wake up with Soda's arms wrapped around me. Thinking he's asleep, I try to squirm out of his arms lightly, but Soda just tightens his grip. "Don't go yet.", Soda whines, squinting. I bite my lip, smiling slightly. "Soda, I've gotta shower and head to work. I still have work on the weekends, you know.". Soda sighs, but sits up, letting go of me. "Fine, but can I at least walk you?", he asks. Grinning, I reply, "Of course you can.". Soda smiles, before laying back down. I smile at him, and enter my closet. I grab a pleated cream colored skirt, a white button down, a sweater vest of multiple different hues of red, and my red high top Chucks. I go into the bathroom, and shower quickly, before brushing my hair and teeth, and getting dressed. When I'm done, only minutes later, I rush out of the bathroom, to see Soda asleep again. Giggling, I shake him awake. "Get up, sleepy pants.", I say. Soda groans. "I don't wanna.". I grab his arm, and drag him out of the bed, causing him to jolt awake. "Oh, fine. No need to pull me outta bed.", Soda says, sounding angry. His face softens at the pout on my face. Soda jumps up, and wraps me in a hug. "I'm not mad, Zar, it was just a bit of a shock, that's all.", he murmurs, before kissing me lightly on the forehead. I melt into his touch, my sadness melting. A moment later I pull away, planting a quick kiss on Soda's lips. Then, I grab his hands, dragging him out of my room, and downstairs, shouting my good byes throughout the house, before rushing out of the house. Still hand-in-hand, Soda and I begin to walk to the hospital. "So... Zara...", Soda says, and immediately my stomach begins to do somersaults. "Are you... breaking up with me? Al-Already?", I ask, my voice cracking. Soda stops, and looks at me with wide eyes. When he realizes that I'm entirely serious, he doubles over with laughter. Totally appalled, I back up, my own eyes widening. "What?", we say in unison, his tone more disbelief, and mine utter shock and confusion. "Why would you think that?", Soda asks, his voice still full of disbelief. "I don't know... Maybe the way you said my name?", I say sarcastically. Soda bites back a smile, clearly amused with my annoyance. Instead of apologizing with words, Soda wraps me in his arms tightly, and giving me a warm, soft kiss. I immediately melt, forgetting my anger. "You're forgiven.", I mumble against his lips, before pulling away. I go to take Soda's hand, but instead, he wraps an arm around me, so I nestle into his arms, as we walk to the hospital, not muttering another word, until I make a sudden realization. "Wait... Did you do the whole theatric 'So...Zara...' thing just to get me hacked off, so you could apologize with a kiss?", I say, skidding to a halt. Soda smiles, biting his lip. I gasp, and wiggle out from Soda's hold, and stand in front of him, crossing my arms. "Really, Sodapop? Really? First of all, you're supposed to leave the theatrics to the girlfriend. Second of all, you know you could just kiss me without all of that?". Soda smiles, I turn around annoyed, so that my back is facing him. Soda hugs me from behind, setting his chin on my shoulder. "I know, beautiful, but you're cute when you're mad.", he murmurs, causing my cheeks to flush deeply. I bite my lip, not wanting to give in, but I melt against his touch, despite my anger. I turn around, and wrap my arms around Soda's neck, stretching up to give him a kiss. "You're lucky I love you, Sodapop Curtis.", I murmur, and Soda smiles against my lips. "Boy, don't I know it.".
