"Uh, Cherry? You should probably wake up now?" A voice called in the distance.

"She's not going to wake up any time soon," another voice said, clearly irritated. "Unless I do this... CHERRY WAKE UP!"

Cherry's eyes flew open, and she sat up quickly, gasping for breaths in shock.

Amber hovered over her, smiling. The rest of the dragonets were standing near the exit, ready to leave the maze. She looked up. The sky was a bright blue color without a sign of clouds. The light was blinding so she focused her eyes back onto her friends.

"Shouldn't we eat something before we go?" Cherry asked, her stomach rumbling.

Yeti shook his head. "They could be poisoned, we don't want to risk it," he pointed out.

"Stop worrying," Amber said. She picked up the fallen dragon fruit from Yeti's tree. She started nibbling on it. Yeti looked at her eat the fruit, his obvious worry expressed on his face.

"Well, why not," Boriel said with a smile, and following Boriel's lead, picked up a fruit, a passionfruit, and started gobbling on it.

Shard was a little more cautious. Since he knew so much about plants, he was a bit more worried about poisonous fruit. Finally, his hunger won, and he picked up a kiwi.

Cherry looked around at all the fruit longingly. She didn't know what to eat first. Even though it had been her idea to eat, suddenly she wasn't hungry anymore. Then, she looked around and noticed the other dragonets had turned a delicate shade of green even though they weren't Rainwings. "This food is poisonous," Blackpearl suddenly said.

"Ah! I told you so!" Yeti moaned. They were clutching their stomachs and

coughing wildly.

Cherry growled in anger. IDIOTS! DON'T YOU DARE DIE, OR I'LL KILL YOU!

Then she looked at her friends, doubled over in pain, grimacing.

Think, Cherry, THINK! Cherry chewed her talons nervously, and then slapped her head. "I'm so stupid!" She pointed to her friends. "Enchant the fruit they ate to no longer be poisonous. Also, heal their sickness." In a flash, all the dragonets stopped coughing and started to get color back into their faces.

Blackpearl sat up, shock written on her face. "Cherry! What? How did you do that?" She exclaimed, looking anxious. She didn't even look happy for her.

"Who cares? Thank the moons Cherry was able to save us," Amber said gladly.

Shard ran around frantically in circles. "Oh no. Oh no no no!!! Cherry, you will LOSE YOUR SOUL AND GO INSANE!!!" He cried. The others faces earlier filled with joy were now filled with horror.

Cherry shook her head, then beamed at them. "Actually...no." Cherry told her friends about the ritual, and about her new meteorite amulet. "And...so I kind of turned Oak into a tree? I didn't kill him, of course."

They all looked at her, and then one-by-one, started nodding.

"Now she can help us get through the maze faster! She could cut the whole thing down with her magic!" Yeti cried happily.

Shard and the rest of them didn't look convinced. "Still, what if it breaks her to do that?" Shard countered. "She might not turn evil but it would take a lot of energy to do that!"

Blackpearl and Boriel nodded. "I've read all about all the powers of dragons and Shard is right. It would take a massive amount of energy to destroy the maze. Plus, the maze could have been made by an animus." Blackpearl said.
