Lily Coin, a ten year-old little girl, has the burden of the worst parents a child could ask her.

Mentally and physically abusive.

Abandoning.

They couldn't give a shit about her for a second.

Why they didn't give her up for adoption is the question Lily asks herself everyday.

But, this little girl has something else. Lily has special abilities. Super strength, elements, telekinesis, and inducing sleep upon whoever she wants.

She usually puts her parents to sleep when she's tired of pretending to be in pain as they hit her. They don't know of her powers and they never will.

Lily, being so young, isn't sure if she might have more powers and they just haven't come up, yet, or if this is it.

She's very secretive about her abilities but, very recently she made the mistake of getting caught by a camera at a store. She blames herself for even using them in public but, she wasn't thinking at the time. She is only ten, she's going to mess up a lot more.

Her parents, Jen and Mike, have always hated her and she has no clue why. She suspects that it's because she isn't a boy. It would make sense, being that they've never treated her as a girl. Never letting her wear a dress or play with makeup. She has a little brother and he is obviously their pride and joy. She doesn't even like her brother. It's not because of jealousy but, because, he's annoying as hell.

Six years-old and acts like a damn baby.

That's what annoys Lily the most.

The crying, the noises, he even uses his clothes as a toilet still. She can't stand it.

Back to her parents, Jen is a stay-at-home-mom while Mike owns a pretty wealthy business. With this money, her brother gets whatever the hell he wants while Lily nearly starves unless they throw an apple at her. Literally.

Lily is ready to leave that damned prison but, she has no way out.

I am sitting on the couch with my book, having nothing else to do besides this. My brother, Jordan, won't shut the hell up. He keeps making annoying noises that I try my best to ignore because, if I yell at him to stop, he cries and my mom beats me. It wouldn't do anything to me in the first place but, it exhausting pretending to be in pain. I've done it my whole life so, I'm pretty good at it but, it's still annoying.

There's a knock at the door and I jump up to get it after my mom yells from upstairs.

I go to the foyer and open the door to see a very tall man with a black trench coat and an eye-patch.

"Hello?"

"Lily Coin?"

"Yeah?"

"I'm Agent Fury from Shield. I need your help."

"What exactly am I able to do?"

"Your little camera mishap helped me track you down. Those are some nice powers you have there."

Shit. Fuck. Damn.

I push him out of the way and step out the door, closing it behind me.

"Shut up. My mom doesn't know."

"Really? Why were you using it in public where everyone can see?"

"I'm a kid. Leave me alone. What do you need help with?"

"I'd rather tell you somewhere private."

"How do I know you aren't going to kidnap me so, you can experiment on me like a lab rat?" I squint my eyes.

"Would you even let us get that far?"

"No."

"You're a very smart kid."

"I had to grow up fast." I shrug.

"Should we tell your parents that you'll be leaving?"

"No, they don't give a shit. Wouldn't even care if I was kidnapped. Let's go."

Fury looks at me strangely before leading me to a black van. Creepy but, whatever. I get in behind him, sitting across from him.

"You have anymore powers?"

"As you already know, I'm telekinetic. I'm also an elemental, have super strength, and I can put people to sleep with just a touch." I grin.

"Damn, kid. You've kept all that a secret your whole life?"

"Mhmm. Anyway. What am I needed for?"

"A very dangerous and powerful man, God, to be exact, took something very dangerous and powerful that doesn't belong to him."

"I'm guessing it doesn't belong to you guys either?"

"Alright, smartass." Fury scoffs and I smile. "We need your help and the help of five other very skilled individuals to take him down."

"What's his name?"

"Loki."

"God of Mischief?" I gasp.

"Yes. How'd you know?"

"I love norse mythology."

"Well, good. Guess I picked the right kid to help us out."

"Hell yeah, you did."
