Twenty-two days later

Pepper, Nat, Steve, Bruce, and Rhodey come running out of the compound when they see Carol bringing in a space ship.

Steve hurries to the hatch when Nebula helps Tony walk down the stairs, Steve taking over.

"I couldn't stop him." Tony states.

"Neither could I."

"Hang on." He stops him. "I-I lost the kid."

"Tony, we lost."

"Is, uh..." He's stopped by Pepper running up to him. "Oh, good."

"Oh my god." She gently pulls him into a hug.

"It's okay."

They get him inside and give him vitals and make him sit down.

"And Lily?" Tony breathes and they all stay quiet, giving each other a look that he easily caught. "Where's Lily?"

"Tony." Pepper calls.

"No, no." He grits. "Where is Lily? Where is my little girl? Where is she?"

"She's gone, Tony." Steve sighs. "She's not here."

"No, she's not." He denies with teary eyes. "No, she's not. She doesn't-"

"The stones hurt her." Nat interrupts.

"She's doesn't get hurt. She said she would be careful and be safe. Lily-"

"Tony, stop." Pepper pleads. "She didn't make it. I'm sorry. But, she didn't make it."

He stays quiet as his eyes flicker between hers. He brings his hand to cover his mouth and looks down as she moves closer, pulling him into a hug. He holds the tears in as they fight to pour out.

"It's been twenty-three days since Thanos came to Earth." Rhodey claims.

"World governments are in pieces." Nat states. "The parts that are still working are trying to make a census and it looks like he did. He did exactly what he said he was gonna do."

A picture of Peter plays in front of Tony and he looks away, covering half of his face.

"Thanos wiped out fifty percent of all living creatures." Nat continues.

Lilys picture goes by and the original Avengers that are there all look away, not able to look at it.

"Where is he now?" Tony asks. "Where?"

"We don't know." Steve sighs. "He just opened a portal and walked through."

"What's wrong with him?" He points at Thor.

"Oh, he's pissed." Rocket nods. "He thinks he failed. Which, of course, he did but, there's a lot of that going around, ain't there?"

"Honestly, until this exact second, I thought you were a Build-A-Bear."

"Maybe I am."

"We've been hunting Thanos for three weeks now." Steve brings them back. "Deep space scans and satellites, and we got nothing. Tony, you fought him-"

"Who told you that?" He asks. "I didn't fight him. No, he wiped my face with a planet while the Bleecker Street Magician gave away the store. That's what happened. There was no fight."

"Okay."

"'Cause, he's not beatable."

"Did he give you any clues, any coordinates, anything?"
