We just landed at the compound. I quickly walk out as soon as the hatch opens, the others following, struggling a bit with Vision.

"Not anymore." Rhodey tells ugly bitch Ross, who stands there as a hologram.

"Secretary." Steve greets.

"You got some nerve. I'll give you that."

"You could use some of that right now." Nat nods.

"The world's on fire. And you think all is forgiven."

"I'm not looking for forgiveness." Steve states. "And I'm way past asking permission. Earth just lost her best defender. So, we're here to fight. And if you wanna stand in our way, we'll fight you, too."

"Arrest them."

"All over it." Rhodey nods.

He gets rid of the hologram and waits till they're gone to speak.

"That's a court-martial." He states before smiling. "Good to see you, Cap."

"You too, Rhodey." They shake hands.

He gets a hug from Nat and looks at me, opening his arms, making me smile and hurry over.

"You guys... really look like crap." He nods as I let go. "Must've been a rough couple years."

"Yeah, well, the hotels weren't exactly five star." Sam jokes.

"Uh, I think you look great." Banner comes from nowhere. "Yeah, I'm back."

"Hi, Bruce."

"Nat."

"This is awkward." I hear Sam whisper and wave him off, gaining a chuckle ib return.

-

"So, we gotta assume they're coming back, right?" Rhodey asks.

"And they can cleary find us." Wanda agrees.

"We need all hands on deck." Banner states. "Where's Clint?"

"After the whole Accords situation, he and Scott took a deal." Nat answers. "It was too tough on their families. They're on house arrest."

"Who's Scott?"

"Ant-Man." Steve answers.

"There's an Ant-Man and a Spider-Man? Okay. Look. Thanos has the biggest army in the universe and he is not gonna stop until he gets... Visions stone."

"Then, we have to protect it." Nat steps forward.

"No, we have to destroy it." Vision states. "I've been giving a good deal of thought to this entity in my head. About its nature. But, also its composition." He starts walking towards Wanda. "I think if it were exposed to a sufficiently powerful energy source, something very similar to it's own signature, perhaps its molecular integrity could fail."

"Yeah, and you with it." Wanda denies. "We're not having this conversation."

"Eliminating the stone is the only way to certain that Thanos can't get it."

"That's too high a price."

"Only you have the power to pay it."

She walks away from him, facing away from everyone, and Pietro and I nervously look at each other with wide eyes, ending with smiles because, we did the same thing.

"Thanos threatens half the universe." Vision continues. "One life cannot stand in the way of defeating him."

"But, it should." Steve says. "We don't trade lives, Vision."

"Captain, seventy years ago, you laid down your life to save how many millions people? Tell me, why is this any different?"

"Because, you might have a choice." Banner answers. "Your mind is made up of a complex construct of overlays. Jarvis, Ultron, Tony, me, the stone. All of them mixed together, all of them learning from one another."

"You're saying Vision isn't just the stone?" Wanda asks.

"I'm saying that if we take out the stone there's still a whole lot of Vision left. Perhaps the best parts."

"Can we do that?" Nat asks.

"Not me, not here."

"Well, you better find someone and somewhere fast." Rhodey nods. "Ross isn't just gonna let you guys have your old rooms back."

"I know somewhere." Steve states.

"Where?" Pietro and I ask and look back at each other with amused grins.

"Wakanda."
