• Can you write me an imagine where you are dating nate but you are sammys ex and he gets very jealous and annoyed when your with nate?
-- (Y/N's POV) --
"Babe come on let's go." Nate yells up the stairs, I roll my eyes and quickly finish braiding my hair.
"I'm coming, hold on a sec." I yell back, rolling my eyes again when I hear him laugh; so immature.
I grab my beach bag and jog down the stairs, he compliments my appearance before kissing my cheek and leading me out to the car. He drives us to the beach and parks in a near by parking lot.
"Who else is coming?" I ask, walking hand in hand with Nate towards the sand.
"Uh, the Jacks, Sam, John-"
"Sam?" I question worriedly. "Sam Wilkinson?"
Nate looks at me weirdly. "Yeah, why? Do you know him?" He asks and I did.
I met a guy in high school and dated him all the way through my time there, four years in total until I moved away to college. I moved back a few months ago because I couldn't handle the stress anymore, I'm a college dropout and proud.
I've been with Nate since two weeks after I moved back, it's been great. I remembered he was in our high school but I don't remember he and Sam being friends.
"Oh uh yeah, I used to anyway." I shrug, speaking quietly.
We pick a spot on the beach and wait for Nate's friends to arrive. Minutes later, they do.
"Skate! Wassup!" They laugh, joined by three girls.
I look up and make eye contact with Sam, his smile fades and he stops walking towards us, he stares at Nate's arm around my waist. "Sam, bro what's up?" Nate asks, noticing his friend's change of behaviour.
Sam shakes his head, almost glaring at me with nothing but pain and anger in his eyes. "N-Nothing bro, nothing." He shrugs, sitting as far away as possible.
"Guys this is Y/N, my girlfriend." Nate introduces, I smile awkwardly as Sam furrows his eyebrows at me and glares even more.
What's his problem?
I'm introduced to Gilinsky, Johnson, John and Mike and three of the girls who seem nice enough.
I cringe at the awkward tension between Sam and I, I don't understand it though; we broke up on good terms.
Is it because I'm now dating his friend who I didn't know was his friend at the time?
"Sam what's up?" Nate asks him, hanging his arm around my shoulders.
Sam shrugs it off and mumbles something before running off into the water, two of the girls and the Jacks join him.
"He's acting weird." Nate states, laying down his towel.
I hum in response and lay down too.
-- (Nate's POV) --
After a day at the beach, we all head across the road to the diner and grab a booth, chatting away.
I sit by Y/N, my arm around her shoulders, Sam hasn't stopped staring at us and it's really annoying, I need to speak to him about it.
Eventually he leaves to use the bathroom and I follow behind him, calling his name once we're in the bathroom. "What's up bro?" He asks.
"What's up with you, what's your problem with Y/N?" I ask, leaning against the wall.
"Nothing, I ain't gotta problem." He replies, I roll my eyes.
"Well why have you been staring at us since you got here huh? Do you like her or something?" I question, he looks down at his feet.
"No, it's just- she's my ex." He tells me, I furrow my eyebrows.
"When?"
"Freshman year to the end of high school, we broke up because she went to college, well, I thought she went to college." He explains.
"She did, she dropped out though," I say, stuffing my hands in my pockets. "Look, Sam, I'm sorry but that was months ago, move on." I sigh, running my fingers through my hair.
"Skate it's hard to get over four years in just a few months, I still love her." He groans, running his hands over his face.
I clench my jaw and open the door, deciding to walk out before I do something stupid.
He was wrong to admit his love for my girlfriend, that's a violation of the brocode. "What's up?" Y/N questions, a confused smile on her face.
I unclench my jaw and fists, shaking it off as I sink down into the seat beside her. "Nothing," I say. "Why didn't you tell me he was your ex?" I whisper so nobody else can hear.
She sighs, turning to face me. "I wanted to tell you, I really did, but I didn't want to make anything awkward."
"It's too late for that, he still loves you." I reply as Sam returns and sits down opposite me.
-- (Y/N's POV) --
"Sam can I speak to you for a second?" I ask, ignoring Nate's harsh look towards me.
Sam nods his head and follows me outside, I narrow my eyes at him. "Why did you tell him?" I question.
"He would've found out anyway," he shrugs. "I'd rather one of us tell him than him finding out."
"And if it would be anybody to tell him, it should have been me. He's mad, he won't admit it but I can tell," I sigh, running my hands through my hair. "He said you still love me." I add.
A rosy pink tints his cheeks, he looks down at the ground and shifts from foot to foot. "Yeah, I kinda' do," he admits, I sigh. "Why didn't you call me? You said you'd at least text." He frowns.
When we broke up, we agreed to stay friends and text and often call eachother. I was too stressed to even look at my phone. "I was stressed, it was a rough time." I shrug, noticing Nate step out with concerned eyes.
"Are you okay?" He asks me, I nod.
"Yeah, we're just talking," I assuringly smile. "Look, Sam, I was happy with you, I loved you but that was in high school, I love Nate now." I confess, feeling horrible to do this to Sam.
"I know and that sucks but it'll take some time for me to get over that, I'm sorry if I've ruined your day in any way-"
"Don't be stupid bro, we'll get through this and things will be normal, I'll even be your designated wingman whenever you want." Nate places his hand on Sam's shoulder and laughs.
"Yeah, I can set you up with a friend." I offer, he shakes his head kindly.
"No need, thanks though guys, if I'm gonna' get over this I need to do it all by myself, I appreciate it." He weakly smiles, we nod.
When Nate pats his shoulder and walks back in, I grab his arm and hug him tightly. "I'm sorry Sam, times change and I hope we can be friends, as close as we were in high school."
"Of course, friends?" He sticks his pinky up to me, I smile and wrap mine around his.
"Friends." I confirm.
"Hey maybe friends can be our always." We laugh and walk back into the diner.
