Can you do one where you're nates little sister and you play basketball against a really rough team and you lose 29-0?

-- (Y/N's POV) --

I've been knocked down so many times in this game, it's really got to me. They're just too good for me and my team.

"Go on Y/N! You can do it!" I hear my brother's best friend Jack yell, he's like a brother to me.

"Go sweetie!" I resist a laugh when I hear my mom cheer and run to the basket, dodging other players before throwing the ball towards the hoop, missing as the last buzzer echoes off the walls.

I sigh, rubbing my temples as the other team pushes past me to congregate in the middle of the court. My teammates send me disappointed looks as they walk to our coach to talk.

A few minutes later, I ignore everybody and head to the changing rooms to shower and change.

--

"It's okay honey, you did great." Mom coos as I walk out of the school building towards the parking lot.

"You did great sis." Nate smiles, placing his arm around my shoulders as we all walk to my mom's car. Dad couldn't make it because of work but I'm glad he never, he'd be so disappointed.

I shrug Nate's arm off my shoulders and walk ahead of everybody else to the car. I climb into the back seat and hug my knees to my chest, sighing when my brother and his friends begin asking if I'm okay, telling me it was a great game even if we didn't win.

"I just want to sleep guys." I interrupt them, twisting my body towards the window to try to nap.

--

"Y/N, wake up." Somebody shakes my shoulder. I open my eyes and see Johnson crouching down beside the open door to wake me up.

I reluctantly climb out of the car and head straight to my room to sulk.

Was it really my fault? My aim was off, of course it was. But even if I did make that last hoop, we would've still lost, they were just too good for us.

A knock on my door brings me back into the room. "What?" I yell, loud enough for the visiter to hear.

"It's me, Nate," He yells back. "Can I come in?" He asks.

I sigh. "Yeah."

He opens the door and closes it behind him, he lays down on the bed beside me and pulls me into a hug and kisses the top of my head. "This is just a phase, you're still young, you'll get over it in no time." He tells me, I furrow my eyebrows.

"What do you mean?"

"Getting upset over losing is just a phase, sometime in the future it won't bother you. Trust me, I've been there and it was the worst but I got through it." He explains, I sigh.

"Was it my fault? Non of the girls spoke to me afterwards, they looked at me as if I'd let them down on purpose. Dads gonna' be so disappointed." The guilt clenches my heart, I can't take anymore of it.

"Of course it wasn't, it isn't just you on the team, if they were as determined as you were then they would have at least attempted as many shots as you did. Your aim was a little off, but I've been through that, nothing lasts forever." He whispers, stroking my shoulder.

The door opens and Sammy walks in, he snaps a picture before putting his phone away and laying down the other side of me. "Sorry to break up this cute little sibling bond but I'm like your brother so I'm joining in." He chuckles, hugging the other side of me.

A brother sandwich, great, let the Jacks join in too.

"We were just talking about how being upset over a game is just a phase, she won't be effected by it as much in the future." Nate informs.

"He's right, we've all been through it," Sammy shrugs. "When was the last time you lost a game?" He asks, stroking my arm with his fingers, a thing he's done since I was little to relax me.

"Uh, last year sometime." I shrug.

"And that proves you're doing great, just ignore the scoreboard and let your mind control how you play, not the score or the cheers."

"Thanks guys." I smile, snuggling into my brother's chest.

"Oh and Mama Maloley said dinner will be ready in a few minutes." Sammy smiles before leaving me and Nate again.

"Are you okay now?" Nate asks.

"I guess." I shrug, sitting up to climb off my bed.

"I'm not letting you leave until you turn that frown upside down and assure me that you're okay." He grins, pulling my back into a hug.

I look at him and smile, he kisses my head and let's me go. "I'm fine Nate, I really am." I assure him as we walk out of my room and down to the kitchen where our dining table is.

The Jacks, Sammy, Stew, Kaylan and my parents are all seated. "Dad!" I smile, speed walking over to him to hug his torso tightly.

"Y/N," he smiles, hugging me back. "I'm sorry I missed the game, how was it?" He asks, I look to Nate.

"We lost." I tell Dad, but his smile doesn't fade nor does it budge even a little.

"Better luck next time kiddo, sit down so we can eat." He smiles, I let out a nervous breath I had been holding in.

Everybody smirks at me, even Mom which was a strange sight. "What's everybody looking at her like that for?" Dad questions as I sit down beside Kaylan and Nate.

Before I can respond, Nate does for me. "She thought you'd be disappointed or mad." Nate chuckles as Kaylan ruffles my hair.

"Never in a million years Y/N, why would you think that?" He frowns, looking slightly offended as he looks at me.

"Because Nate and Stew always win their games, Kay is doing great with volleyball and I don't know, I thought you'd be disappointed." I shrug.

"Don't ever think that Y/N, I love you and nothing you could ever do would make me less proud of you than I am every day."

I smile. "I love you too dad."

He winks at me as Mom suddenly speaks. "Okay okay, let's eat before it gets cold, I spent a lot of time cooking this!"
