"Honey! We're gonna be late! Again!" Logan yelled up the stairway, hoping it would reach Kate's ears this time.

"Alright alright. I'm here," Kate replied, coming down the stairs as gracefully as ever. Dressed in a stylish red pantsuit and shoes her mother called 'boss heels', she looked every bit the boss she was.

As she reached the bottom of the steps, Logan smiled and reached out for her hand. When he received it, he proceeded to kiss the bright diamond sitting on it.

"You look beautiful, my wife-to-be," Logan shot her a wink, and she laughed.

"Thank you, husband-to-be," she replied as they began walking to the door of their rather large home.

Shortly after their engagement, Logan and Kate had bought a mansion not far outside the city. Logan had protested buying such a large place, but Kate had insisted it was necessary.

"The size of your house is important, for both of our careers. For me, it's obviously an intimidation technique. But think about what it tells your employers. You're a big actor, and your home says just how much you make, and how good you are. Think about it. You know I'm right,"

And Kate had been proven right once again.

All the magazine articles on the house alone had brought quite the little fortune. Photographers had been streaming in and out of the house for almost two months.

It had driven Marcos mad.

Which was ironic because he and Jacob were supposed to be enjoying their retirement. He had seen the home interview Logan did two weeks after they got the house and called right away, asking what she was thinking, letting cameras into her home.

Kate had bluntly pointed out that this was just one of their homes, and the one they would spend the least amount of time in as life went on.

"Besides, this is what being married to a celebrity looks like. This is going to be the rest of my life, so I might as well start practicing," she had added with a chuckle.

Marcos had eventually relented, but only after she agreed to keep him updated on new security measures. Now, as Kate walked up to the car with Logan, she was glad she had listened to Marcos and added the extra security systems.

As they drove out the gate, she watched the paparazzi maintain their distance from the property line while they took their pictures.

They all remembered what had happened the last time one of them made the mistake of crossing that line.

The dogs barked aggressively behind them as the gates closed, and Logan and Kate shared a knowing look.

They were headed into town for yet another meeting with their wedding planner, who was supposedly the best. Although Kate was of the firm belief that the woman was not helping this process at all. And her point was only proven true at the meeting.

"I'm sorry. I don't know how, but our location was leaked," Lynda announced almost as soon as they arrived.

"Two days before the wedding? How?" Logan asked, momentarily distracted from his task of helping his fiance into her seat.

"I don't know. But it's too late to find another venue, so we'll just have to send one or two invitations to journalists and tighten security," she replied, dropping into her chair.

Kate's eyes narrowed.

This had been exactly what Lynda had wanted in the beginning. Press present at the ceremony.

This wasn't an accident.

She glanced at Logan, who was already looking at her. He had come to the same conclusion.
