I'm just upset today that one of my all time favorite actors, and the main star of my favorite mob movie "Goodfellas", Ray Liotta passed away.
I'm just heartbroken that he's gone and his portrayal of Henry Hill in "Goodfellas" has really captivated me and will always be with me for the rest of my life. I've seen his performance in the horror movie "Hannibal" and I thought it was great, but I think "Goodfellas" is his best work. He made his character work and he had shown throughout that movie how dedicated he is to his craft and how beloved he is to not just to his fellow actors and actresses, but to the fans as well.
Everyone, including yours truly, will miss him greatly as we celebrate his life and tonight, I think it's very fitting that I watch "Goodfellas" with the lady because it's the only appropriate to do so.
Mr. Liotta, thank you for the memories you made for us in not just "Goodfellas", but in the entire movie industry.
