Author's Note: A new lead, a sketchy motel, a Scooby-Doo joke, a fight, but will Colby and the pack find their missing Omegas?

They had a lead!

Finally!

Colby dashed into his car, Sam following in the passenger seat. He quickly turned the car on, putting it in gear, and sped out of the driveway. The tires squealed as Colby turned onto the main road. Behind him, Jake and Tara followed in the Omega's bright pink BMW.

Colby's phone was hot in his pocket from his conversation with David only a few moments prior and the other Alpha's words lingered in Colby's ears. They rang for a short time before one of Colby's Beta's interrupted them. Jake had come rushing toward Sam and Colby that he received word from some of the L.A. police pack members that there were individuals who looked like the hunters moving into a motel outside the city lines. Colby refused to waste another moment.

Colby drove as fast as he could on the highways through L.A. without catching non-pack member-police attention. Around him, in cars and on sidewalks, werewolves bared their necks in submission. Colby paid them no mind as he drove to their final destination.

"What do you think happened with David and Liza?" Sam asked from beside him, clutching Colby's hand tightly as he watched his mate drive with one hand through the L.A. traffic.

"No idea," Colby answered, cursing lightly at a car pulling out in front of him and slamming on his brakes.

Sam clutched his mate's hand tightly to brace himself at the sudden pressure of the seat belt keeping him from flying through the car.

Colby pressed on the gas slightly, riding the other car's ass to get it to move faster, "COME ON!"

"Do you think someone in their pack actually betrayed them?" Sam asked carefully, still haunted by the conversation with David and Liza.

Colby shook his head, turning to glance at Sam and noticing the worry in his eyes, "That's not gonna happen with us, Sam." I promise, Colby echoed in his mind.

"Our pack is already fractured, Colby," the Omega snapped back, gnawing at his bottom lip, "Wouldn't seem unlikely if it did happen."

"We got to trust our pack, Sam," Colby sighed, pushing the doubt from his own mind and trying to remain positive, "They helped rescue you. They are looking for Amber and Xepher. I highly doubt they would do any of that if they didn't believe in the pack."

"Fuck!" Sam tightened his grip on Colby's hand again as the Alpha slammed on his breaks.

"FUCKING BITCH!" Colby cursed at the car in front of them, slamming his palm against the steering wheel, "WHO FUCKING TAUGHT YOU HOW TO DRIVE? YA MOM?"

Sam wanted to tell Colby to slow down, but he knew that there was never going to be anything he said to get Colby out of the mindset that he wasn't going to lose their two Omega's again. He almost found it funny how Colby was the one who used to be so upset over their pack's recent dynamics of ignoring each other and now it was Sam stressing over it. Sam tried not to think about how his worry stemmed from his isolation with Jake Paul. Again, he had to remind himself that he was an Alpha's Omega, an Alpha in his own right, but he was an Omega too-- protector and caregiver. He was meant to keep the pack together, but it felt so shattered beyond repair. Maybe it was time to let it all go... He did his best to keep it together, but his pack also had to be willing to do so too. It didn't feel like that so much anymore. Sam did a mental sigh.

The Alpha swerved in the next lane over, causing the car already there to slam on their breaks and honk at them. Colby only raised his free hand (not clutching Sam's own) to flip the other car off. Sam stared wide-eyed at the steering wheel driving without a hand on it before Colby slammed his hand back on it.
