Colby woke to the sound of his phone going off. He groaned from his position under his mate, but he untangled himself and grabbed his phone from the bedside table. He blinked rapidly to clear his vision, watching as disbelief grows to horror upon seeing the name of the same unknown email in his personal account that he now knows familiarly. He sat up so fast that he basically threw Sam off his body. The Omega woke up with a start.
"What the fuck– oh..."
Colby immediately opened the email to find a video attachment and he pressed play. Sam hanged beside him, watching as the video started. They both know it's from the hunters, but Colby cannot tell where they are filming other than a large empty beige room falling apart in itself.
In the middle of the room was Amber and Xepher again but they're both awake and still alive. There were more ropes binding them to their chairs. Both Omega's look filthy and disgusting with the mixture of dirt and sweat on their skin, but they're alive and that's what Colby kept telling himself.
Artemas appeared from behind the camera with a bored expression as he approached both women backwards. A rather large man and a red-head woman appear beside their leader. All three of them were dressed in sharp blue uniforms and had a gun in their hands. Xepher side-eyes the redhead in front of her, but Amber stared at the camera– right at Colby.
He wished he could reach through his phone screen and take both of them in his arms and away from this all.
"Here we are again, Colby Brock," Artemas broke the silence with his jaw set, "I thought you would have rescued your Omegas by now, but clearly you're a shitty Alpha."
Colby didn't feel the sharp pain of sorrow at that statement as once did, but instead he growled low in anger and frustration, though he couldn't tell if it was from protection of blood lust.
Amber snarled, rocking her chair, but her growls came out muffled with the gag. Artemas sighed as he motioned to the red-head huntress to take care of the interruption. The red-head nodded with a smile as she walked over to the Omega, but instead of silencing her the huntress pulled the gag down.
"Got something to say to your Alpha?" she asked with a look of pure cruelty, "A plea perhaps?"
Amber tore her gaze away from the camera and turned up to the huntress. She shook her head to push some fallen hair from her face. The look in her eyes was pure hatred and they glowed golden with that hatred. She slowly smiled and her fangs glistened as she began to laugh.
A predator spoke from her lips, "He will kill you," her voice was laced with high-pitched mocking tones, "The Alpha is so close."
The red-headed huntress snarled, reaching out to grasp Amber's jaw, "Barbie– eat your heart out!"
Amber's eyes flashed and suddenly she broke from her ropes, snapping forward to grab the bright red hair in her claws. Chaos rippled through the screen as Amber yanked down hard. The red-head huntress cried out as a chunk of her hair was ripped from her skull near her ear.
