Return to the world of werewolves, witches, werecoyotes, and necromancers as new threats appear from the depths of Los Angeles for the Alpha, his mate, and the Trap House Pack.

Colby's chest ached from the deep wounds Lucian caused, but they were healing under the watchful gaze of his mate.
Raising a hand to scratch at the bandages, he quickly pulled his hand away, remembering Sam playfully smacking his hand with a snarl to keep his hands away. As long as Colby let them heal, kept them clean, and put the nasty smelling paste on, the wound would heal and barely even scar. Sam was great at ensuring that Colby had the best treatment and an even better nurse... as Sam liked to wrap himself up in Colby.
The night they got back from Preston Castle basically was just Sam taking care of their pack as Colby wasn't well enough to do it himself, but Sam knew exactly what he was doing as the pack's Alpha's Omega. No one, though, really wanted to leave each other that night. They all piled into the living room, spread out across couches and sectionals in matched mates. The Alpha and his Omega crawled into each other. Sam held on tightly to Colby the whole night, careful to not hurt Colby's chest. It was the closest they all felt to each other in a long time. But, they all went their separate ways shortly after talking about everything that had happened. As Colby watched Elton and Jake leave the house, the Alpha knew it was going to be one of the last times.
Now, the Alpha laid out on his balcony that overlooked the Trap House backyard. The sun beat down on his skin, making him prickle, but it was warm and soothed in his bones. A gentle wind curled around them, sending a shiver up his spine. The morning doves cooed and called out to each other, and it all seemed so peaceful.
He pulled the flannel blanket up his legs further that Sam had grabbed from their nest so he smelled like them, and placed his computer back on his lap. He was currently looking at a series of photos the construction company had sent of the new renovations and design of the cabin.
Since the hunters practically burned down the full cabin, Colby had been working with the construction company to redo the cabin and the layout of the cabin remained the same on the old structure. Yet, the inside was far more modern than it was before. Light fixtures that had originally spewed out yellow light now were white and fresh and more environmentally friendly. The old carpets were gone and in their place were furnished wood floors, which Colby definitely was thankful for after the last few visits at the cabin resulting in blood-soaked carpets.
The cabin was bare of furniture, but Colby knew he and Sam would add to it in time. Sam, especially, could have a lot of fun putting things in the cabin that made his Omega heart happy. Who was Colby to deny his mate? Maybe they would pull from the furniture in the pack house — it wasn't like they were going to need it here with Sam and Colby looking elsewhere for their permanent home.
The cabin was to remain pack territory regardless of what would happen in the next few weeks. Already, things were changing in the pack. For better or for worse– Colby couldn't tell.

"Sam— hold the camera still!"
Katrina Stuart's laugh pulled Colby from his thoughts.
