Ethan was going in between waking up and going back unconscious as he lay there on something moving, his eyes were going in and out completely blurry. When he blacked out once again something suddenly attacked the truck transporting him and things got worse from there though for some reason he was left there alive.
The faint sound of a phone ringing lulled him into a dream or well a memory of the past.
**Dream**
Ethan was in their room sitting on the side of the bed when his phone began to ring, it was the doctor. His gaze moved to where you were as you leaned over Rose's crib watching her sleep with slight worry.
With the effects of what happened all those years ago you hoped nothing was wrong with Rose, you were still on a bit of leave from the BSAA as of now taking maternity leave for the moment but what worried you the most was if any of the 'mold' had transferred to Rose if there was any left in your system.
While Ethan was on the phone the doctor had told him about your daughter's results and wanted to see both of you on Thursday to speak about it. Hearing this you slowly walked up to where Ethan was.
"That was the Doc. She'll see us next week." Ethan told you.
"Okay..." You muttered sitting beside him on the bed.
"Hey, now. Think positively, all right? We talked about this." Ethan told rubbing your back gently.
"I know. We hardly talk about anything else. I keep telling you it's not Rose that I'm worried about." You replied sighing.
"Then what are you worried about? Look, she's going to be fine I just know it." Ethan replied.
You sighed shaking your head at this and stood up walking away from him a little bit then turned around to face him.
"What else matters?" Ethan asked.
"We matter, Ethan! YOU matter! I can't lose you! And you just won't-" You tried to explain.
"(Y/N), what are you talking about? Is there something you're not telling me? Come on, talk to me." Ethan said walking over to you and holding your hand.
"I..." You started but were interrupted by Ethan's phone ringing.
It was his work.
"Dammit, I have to take this," Ethan says.
You sighed and just walked away from him.
**Dream End**
A continued ring of a phone managed to wake Ethan up for sure this time apparently it had been going off for a while now so as Ethan painfully woke up and slowly got up to sit on his knees he answered the phone.
"About damn time! What is your status? Is the package safe?" A voice asked.
"What are you talking about? Where's Chris Redfield and Rose?" Ethan asked.
"Who is this? This is a secure channel, you are not authorized to use this-" The voice replied but the line was cut off.
Ethan scoffed at that and stumbled a bit as he got up to his feet this time, slowly making his way through where the track of footprints in the snow led him, he didn't know where he was but he knew he needed to find a place to get some sort of help. But right about now, things were so dark that it was beginning to get hard to see in front of him.
Something was running all around him and Ethan knew, of course, he wasn't alone, so he took extra precaution with his surroundings but it was a bit harder to do so with how dark it was though he did keep his ears open to the sounds and tried to avoid the areas where the sounds were coming from.
It didn't take long for something rather big or so to run by in front of him and a bunch of crows were all around him making so much noise that he rushed a bit more, it didn't take long before Ethan had come up to a cabin where a blood trail was leading into the building. Not liking his options Ethan carefully and slowly walked inside the place was completely empty of any people it mostly looked like they had left it all behind in a rush or something.
