Chapter 9

Behind Ethan was some sort of like chalice...maybe he wasn't sure but there were four slots for a square flask to be inserted in. So when Ethan placed the first one something happened that confused him for the moment not to mention somehow he was able to witness what Rose saw through her eyes revealing that Mother Miranda was the one who attacked the truck that Ethan and Rose were in.

How was that possible he wasn't sure all he knew was that he had to save Rose and get her out of this freak show of a village and back home....even if it meant raising her on his own now since 'you' were dead.

'I can't fail here...I swore to (Y/N) that she'd always be safe.' Ethan thought.

Using the key to one of the locked gates Ethan went back to the village and began searching the place for that red chimney or well more like a way into that place considering the gate to the house was locked from the other side so taking a detour was his only option.

Checking house to house it was clear that some of the supplies were left behind whereas others were already looked through...so that person who he heard was still around well at least they knew how to put up a good fight and hopefully was finding a way out of here safely. Either way though at times he did encounter some of the Lycans still out and about the village but he still had enough bullets to keep moving on forwards.

So by the time he reached the house with the red chimney though it looked like it was too late since a Lycan was inside the house and had killed the man that was living there. But what he did find was more key parts he could use for one of the gates where The Duke was at...so he guessed that was helpful.

Putting them together proved to work but before he used it The Duke had some words for him.

"How was it? Did you learn anything?" The Duke asked.
"I found these feathers. Now tell me how to fix this like you said you would." Ethan replied.
"Settle down. First, you must use that key and collect all of your little Rose's flasks." The Duke explains.
"Where are the rest of them?" Ethan asked.
"There are four in total. You have the one, and the other lords have the rest." The Duke begins.
"Lords?" Ethan wondered.
"Mother Miranda is the cold calculating ruler of this village. Four lords serve under her. The first you've already met Lady Dimitrescu. The second live deep in a valley of mist, the doll maker Donna Benevento. None of her playmates have ever come back from that dank, old estate. The third is Moreau, a being of twisted flesh that lives in the reservoir past the windmills. It's said that he's not the only monster that lives in those waters. The fourth and most dangerous is Heisenberg, he works in his factory on the village outskirts. And the project? Let's just say parts of the human imagination are better left alone. If you truly wish to save your daughter you must gather the four flasks." The Duke explained everything.

The Duke even helped Ethan even further as he marked the locations of the Lord's locations on the map Ethan had found before and had taken with him.

"Why are you doing all this?" Ethan asked.
"Why it's all part of our first-class customer service. Please do come again soon...oh and I will remind you that you will soon get some help with retrieving your little Rose's flasks." The Duke informs him.
"What do you mean by that?" Ethan asked.
"Well a fair young lady is currently in the Reservior as we speak she'll soon encounter one of her flasks and I'm sure she'll bring it here soon enough. If you meet up with her well...then you are in for a surprise." The Duke explains.

When he didn't go on further it just pushed Ethan into further confusion but he didn't push for answers anymore since right now he had to focus on getting Rose back and safe. Using the key to where the doll maker was he slowly but carefully made his way around and what shocked but confused him was what he was both hearing and seeing...it was you.

You somehow appeared before his eyes as you held Rose in your arms calling out to him, but in the next split second, you were gone. The further up he went the more of these encounters he had, the second however was one where you sounded really worried and walked over to him to ask him for his help on seeing if Rose was okay but as soon as your form reached him then disappeared again.

"What this hell is this?" Ethan questioned himself.

The third time he saw you again you were upset about how many people would leave you and apparently the figure of you mentioned how eventually Ethan and Rose would leave you behind as well, though when Ethan tried to reach out once again your form disappeared. But your voice echoed how you didn't want to be alone anymore.

"This can't be real..." Ethan mutters.

He would later come across a mass of graves but what really unsettled Ethan was how silent it was...barely any sounds were heard there other than some crows that were around but other than that it was silence. Though he still questioned why he was suddenly seeing you when you were supposed to be dead.

"Am I losing it?" Ethan questioned himself.

Unsure of what was happening Ethan still pushed forward, though when he came up to a locked door off to the side of the small wall it was 'Give Up Your Memories', thinking about it for the moment he slowly took out the picture he always held it was of you and little Rose hugging one another with the biggest smiles on both of your faces. It was his favourite picture he had ever taken of the two of you and took it everywhere with him.

Hoping he'd get this precious picture back he placed it inside the slot which seemed to work as the door finally unlocked. The place led Ethan to an elevator and taking it proved to be the right move though the lights suddenly went out for a moment then came back on though somehow there was a message for Ethan on the side. 'Come with me, Ethan.' was on the elevator.

All of this was so damn weird but Ethan really didn't have much of a choice but to head towards where Donna lived he had to get his daughter's flasks back in order to save her. And he'd do whatever it took to save her and bring her back home safely. So once he stepped out of the elevator and followed the path to the house he first took a good look at it taking in the sight of it first.

Meanwhile...you had actually spent most of the time trying to avoid and kill the damn huge wolf BOW it took a lot of bullets but in the end, you managed to kill it and finally continued forwards. Using the knife that you had found you managed to get the gross green goo off at one part when you noticed there was a pathway. Unknown to what was in this area further you were slightly clueless as to what was there only to find out that Chris was there.

"Chris? What the hell are you doing here?" You asked.
"Hold it. Where's Mother Miranda?" Chris asked then spoke to one of his men over his coms.
"She's nowhere near you sir, why?" The voice replied.
"Holy shit..it's really you," Chris mutters.
"Wait! Agent Winters is with you?" The voice asked.
"Yeah, she's here. I'll inform her of everything you just keep an eye on Mother Miranda." Chris ordered.

From there Chris explained everything that happened for all this time you were locked up, you were annoyed that Miranda easily slipped through Chris's grasp but you had then scolded him for not telling neither you nor Ethan about his plan. If he did then they could've helped and your baby girl wouldn't have been in Miranda's hands.

"Why...why didn't you at least explain anything to any of us... we're supposed to be friends, Chris." You mentioned.
"I know and I'm sorry but I'm gonna do whatever it takes to save your daughter and get you home again," Chris promised.
"Good." You nodded.
"Here take this, better to keep in contact," Chris says giving you an earpiece which you took and placed it in your ear.

However, things went from back to worse when something in the waters wrapped whatever the fuck it was around your ankle and dragged you down, quickly thinking Chris grabbed your hand while another one of his teammates shot at it but both your and Chris's grip slipped and you were dragged under the waters bellow and taken elsewhere.

"(Y/N)!!" Chris shouted looking around in the water.

||A/N: Sorry for the late update I was out with my mother at a carnival that comes here every year for the summer. We had a good time actually and plan to go tomorrow. Not sure yet but yeah.||
