Chapter 15

Chris sat in his car and sighed in relief somehow he was able to keep Ethan alive thankfully, this meant that you'd be able to have your family back again and hopefully you'd be able to retire as you had wanted. Then again Chris understood that he'd have to answer to a heck of a lot of things for you when all this is over with and everyone was back home.

"Captain your gonna really have to tell her the truth now." One of his men began.
"I know that, I'll have to explain every single detail and why we didn't include her in this mess...I just didn't think it'd go down like this." Chris replied.
"Even so...you should have told them. It nearly cost Agent Winters the life of her husband." Another replied.

Which was true if Ethan had stayed there where Miranda was at he would've been dead by now but what concerned them all more was the fact that Miranda's focus was now on you rather than Ethan and it seemed like from one of his men that she was hunting you down by playing a sick game of cat and mouse.

'(Y/N) has always been good with hiding who she is and pretending to be on the enemy's side to gain information...but with a BOW like Miranda, it's like a whole other level of skill needed. I just hope that she's good with avoiding someone as much as possible.' Chris thought.

Things kept going from bad to worse in a job like this to the point where it was second nature for Chris as well as yourself so that's why you weren't panicking as much as Ethan was, speaking of Ethan though he met up with one of Chris's team and was being carefully brought back to where Chris was currently staying at as their captain began to go over the situation allowing him to listen in.

"We all got two things to do, protect Agent Winters and save Rose," Chris told everyone on the coms.
"Once Agent Winters is safe we'll go after Miranda right?" A woman asked.
"Affirmative, at the end (Y/N) might just keep Miranda distracted long enough for us to deal with the village," Chris replied.
"Rodger that we'll make sure that Ethan Winters makes it there alive." One replied.
"I want answers Chris more of them after this," Ethan muttered.
"And you'll get them just survive this battle until the end and I'll explain everything this time," Chris replied.

With the plan in full motion now there was no looking back, there weren't any more Lords to deal with but there was a rather strong BOW, crazy lady, to finally finish off. It didn't take long for Chris and his team to give Ethan a rather easier job in this as the young man slipped away in the shadows hoping he'd get to his wife before these things did.

"Are you sure it was a good idea to include him in this?" One of his men asked.
"He's stubborn, but honestly I believe he'll be fine. (Y/N) and I trained him for a while so I think he knows what to do...he's gotten his far." Chris replied.
"The Winters sure are tight as could be, wish I had that in a relationship." One joked.
"Indeed they're lucky to have one another." The lady agreed.

Chris later got his team back on track as they went for the village killing Lycan after Lycan so they could finally find the source of all this and put an end to this finally after three years of fighting this damn thing. Though for some reason it seemed to have been coming from beneath their feet so it was Chris's job to get through however there were large roots all around one area that it took a large blast or two in order to open it up for Chris to get through.

Getting inside Chris was confronted by one of the bigger bosses of the Lycans and with such a cramped space he was in Chris had to rely on one of his men using the target locator to send Lobo where to send the blast a few times managed to work as it later crystalized and died shattering into shards behind him as Chris kept moving forwards and finally found the Meganycete.

Considering everything that happened back then originated here Chris could finally put an end to this nightmare and hopefully you yourself could rest a bit from this. He placed a bomb on the thing enough to blow the entire village up in flames when activated, now all he had to do was regroup with you and Ethan then deal with Mother Miranda and end this once and for all.
