Chapter 5

Holding yourself up in your arms you looked around the small hole you had just climbed out of and saw no one nearby, sighing you pushed yourself up and got to your feet. Looking at yourself for the moment you sighed at how much dirt was all over you not to mention your hands were both cold and a bit scratched up from the climb.

"I can't stay here...I gotta get somewhere safe..." You muttered.

As you were looking for a place to lay low, meanwhile inside the castle Ethan had successfully escaped the room that Lady Dimitrescu had him hanging up in, he got out of there through a crawl space that was hidden away for some reason unknown to him but he didn't care at this point.

Getting back to his feet Ethan found himself in some sort of secret storage room? He didn't know nor did he care right now so when he got to a 'door' like a thing that turned to its side once he removed a marron ring he didn't question it anymore for now though he did notice that the eye in the ring was sightly loose and took it out before placing the empty ring on a table outside the room once he left.

Grabbing whatever he could use to sell to The Duke so he could stalk up on bullets or even get better guns than the ones he has right now Ethan began to think of the possible way of his escape out of here...though what he needed was to find the door to the exit and hopefully a damn map to this place since well Ethan didn't want to get lost.

'Nice Ethan...it's not as if this is a tourist place with maps all over the place.' Ethan thought shaking his head.

Once he got back to where he first started Ethan noticed four headless statues rise up, he guessed those statue heads were what he'd need to go out those doors...great just great. That's all he needed...so these freaks intended to stall him while they take Rose somewhere else huh? Not on his watch.

Keeping to his path Ethan soon found himself in a room where The Duke was at.

"We meet again." The Duke smiled.
"Duke? Why are you here?" Ethan asked.
"Where there's coin to be made...And have you found your daughter?" The Duke asked.
"No," Ethan replied.
"If she is truly here, the Lady of the castle would have kept little Rose in her private chambers, would she not?" The Duke replies.
"Dimirescu?" Ethan asked.
"The very same. Why don't you take a look? Maybe you'll get lucky." The Duke tells him.

After that The Duke offered him something to buy which Ethan agreed to, he looked through the options of what to buy and what little Ethan himself had to sell to get more coins in order to buy more stuff from The Duke. But mostly he just bought more bullets for each gun he had.
Ethan later left the room and made his way to the foyer, turning to his right he first unlocked the double doors and remembered the few pieces of advice you had given him a few years ago.

"When you are in a tense situation you should leave certain doors unlocked for a quick escape, but be careful with making such judgement cause it could turn on you in seconds." - You.

Just remembering you made your 'death' even worse...what was he supposed to tell Rose now? She was just a mere baby and wouldn't remember you at all. Yeah sure there are pictures and some videos of you but most of those videos were from when you were pregnant and were just little short clips of you speaking to Rose who at the time was still in your belly.

'I have to make things right...' Ethan thought.

Continuing on around the first floor Ethan looked around for anything he could use for supplies and well mostly his findings were really small down there. So his next search was the second floor, so with that, he began to slowly walk up the staircase but his gun was out and pointed at every corner even turned around carefully as he got further up but nothing was there not even any of Dimitrescu's daughters.
