It didn't take long for Chris to explain everything, every small detail went unspoken though you had a slight feeling there might just be more but wouldn't press it. However, you were deeply annoyed that Chris despite being your good friend didn't bother to even tell YOU of all people the plan.
"Seriously Chris, you didn't even tell me this?" You asked.
"I'm sorry...by the time I had finally decided to tell you it had been too late, Miranda had already infiltrated your home," Chris replied.
"Whatever...just tell me what I can do now. But after all this I'm retiring so I can help my husband raise Rose to be a normal girl." You explained.
Chris was a bit saddened that you wanted that but understood completely in the end and didn't press further at all about that and explained to you that he needed you to create a distraction for Mother Miranda but to be extra careful. At the same time, he and Ethan would deal with Heisenberg themselves.
"Absolutely not! I won't have my wife out there with some dangerous BOW." Ethan growled.
"She's dealt with things like this before in the past, I trust her enough," Chris replied.
"Yeah well, I don't trust you. Not after this little stunt, you pulled." Ethan explained.
Did Chris really expect Ethan to easily trust him again after what happened hours ago? Even if that wasn't you that was shot down before his very eyes it still hurt to watch even the fake you fall over and possibly even die by the gunshot wounds from someone you yourself were supposed to trust.
"It wasn't easy to gun down someone who looked like (Y/N) if that's what you're thinking. I've known her for years she's like the little sister to my squad." Chris explained.
"Doesn't help at all," Ethan growled.
"Enough! We have dire things to deal with right now." You sighed.
Honestly, the two care argue about this later you had a job to do and you'd finish it since it was gonna be your last one for the rest of your career before you'd becoming a full-time mother for Rose so she didn't have to be away from you for long...though that's given how the BSAA would react.
'I hope it's nothing horrible, but if they do have plans for Rose I'll sacrifice my freedom for my daughter...' You thought.
The next thing you and Ethan knew was the pictures on Chris's phone that he showed the both of you, you feared for your baby's safety but according to Chris, his men were monitoring the situation until you yourself arrived and hopefully if things went as planned then while Chris and Ethan deal with Heisenberg then you and his team would deal with her.
"What's Plan B?" You asked.
"If things don't go as planned then Ethan here will have to run like hell away from the site after defeating Heisenberg and let us deal with the rest," Chris replied.
"Excuse me?" Ethan asked.
"Fine, but you'll give him the coordinates of where to meet up with one of your men." You sighed.
"Copy that." Chris agreed.
You and Ethan shared a look when he was about to say something but the look in your eyes told him to at least believe in what you had planned yourself. Sighing he nodded his head and got into the tractor-like device that Heisenberg decided to make at some point for whatever reason that Chris seemed to transform into something else entirely.
"I will stay down here and finish planting explosives. You take that elevator and I'll meet you topside. I promise we will get your daughter back--together." Chris tells him.
"Damn straight we will. And when I find Miranda...she's a dead woman." Ethan replied getting his gun ready.
Chris seemed to like that idea and agreed, you yourself had a faint smile on your lips as you kind of liked that side of Ethan for a moment before things got serious again. You and Ethan both had a brief conversation before Ethan was finally ready to head up, you watched as he drove the thing to the elevator using it.
"He's gonna be fine," Chris called out.
"I hope so...I don't have a good feeling about this." You sighed and rushed up as well to meet up with Chris's men.
Usually, your gut feelings were correct so Chris quickly asked one of his men to watch over Ethan completely and if anything odd was to happen then they were to quickly react and get him out of there. Chris didn't want you to go through any more pain and if this was possible to prevent he'd do anything in order to keep it from happening again.
Meanwhile, at the same time Ethan finally reached the top, he used one of the machines cannons to blast open the elevator heavy doors and waited for a moment for it to finally returned to normal first in case he needed it in the battle against Heisenberg which honestly with how much information of BOW's that his beloved wife was willing to recall in her past he knew it would be highly likely.
Heisenberg arrived just as quick and their confrontation began, honestly it seemed to be one of the toughest fights Ethan had ever faced with someone in the infected walls of the world. It was especially harder due to the fact that Heisenberg's powers could control steel and anything else metal it proved for him to be slightly difficult to land shots on the weak spots he would later find but in the end did manage to get him a few times.
It wasn't until what Ethan believed to be the near end of their battle that the factory of Heisenberg's went up in flames from the charges that Chris must've set off after finishing meaning that he and yourself got out of the factory safely and alive...which meant he had to fight even more to get out of this alive and back to you.
Now that was something he was definitely gonna do for sure.
He had to.
It took nearly all the rest of his bullets to take out Heisenberg to the point where he was forced back into the tractor-like thing and set off the cannon at point blank range effectively killing him in the end. With Heisenberg dead now things were slowly calming just as quickly so when he fell harshly to the ground the metal all around him fell as well.
'That's gonna hurt in the morning...' Ethan thought.
Despite the fact that you were supposed to be searching for Miranda you had decided to quickly check on your husband's well-being and were relieved that he was fine. But things just went from bad to worse when you noticed through the scope of your sniper rifle that Miranda had arrived in your vision of you at first.
"Guys! Miranda is near my husband!" You warned the team.
"Shit I'm on it! Get her to the ceremony site!" One of them quickly replied and then ran off.
"Please! Please don't let anything happen to my husband!" You begged as you were dragged off.
Some of Chris's team members were shocked at how desperate you sounded considering they knew you as the calm and collected young woman, but honestly, they understood in a slight way considering how strong Mother Miranda was compared to Ethan who was still in need of lots of more training to tackle any more of stuff like this but it was clear that the two of you were down with Bio-Terror as of today though they hoped that their teammate would get to Ethan on time.
For your sake at least.
At the same time, Ethan was still confronting Mother Miranda himself, but when things were about to get even worse Miranda grunted as she was shot a few times.
"Run! Get out of there!" Chris's voice came through the phone.
Ethan didn't think twice about that and ran as fast as he could, honestly he needed to get away from Miranda for the time being in order to confront her later. Miranda though scoffed at the setback and looked around realizing that if these people were here then you must've gotten out of your little cell.
"So..the little bird has set herself free hm? That's fine, I'll take great pleasure in using her little Rose before her very eyes." Miranda muttered to herself laughing as she transformed herself into a crow and flew off.
The real fight was now gonna begin here and now.
