Your condition had gotten better after spending a bit of time in the hospital, but your body suffered quite a bit the BSAA tests revealed that you and Ethan were actually only managed to be alive due to the mold from the Baker Incident that's where you began to explain to Ethan what happened in those moments you two were there.

Ethan was alive thanks to the mold that managed to infect him in the Baker house after he died at that very moment he first confronted her and when Jack arrived. You cried to him how sorry you were for keeping it from him but it wasn't possible for you to come up with a good starting point of how to explain all of it.

Your husband...your wonderful husband in the end understood you and knew you wouldn't keep this from him much less anything at all if it wasn't to protect the family. Not to mention it must've weighed heavy on your mind all this time.

"I thought we agreed to tell each other everything when something bothers us," Ethan commented.
"I know I'm sorry! I just didn't know how to explain it myself since I was still in disbelief as well!" You cried.
"It's okay, we're still here and still together. We've survived hell a back twice already." Ethan explained holding you in his arms.

Rose interrupted her parents as she cooed which made the two of you chuckle and Ethan brought her for you to hold this time, smiling at your beautiful little girl you cuddled up to her which made her giggle like usual and hold your face like she used to.

That action alone should've been a sign but I was too worried to notice...' Ethan thought.

A few things stood out as the days passed, Ethan finally took notice of the difference between YOUR interactions with Rose and Miranda's when she played off as you. For whatever reason Rose knew you and Miranda apart from one another from the start.

"I know what your thinking and don't bother, you were worried about my mind right?" You spoke up.
"Yeah, you've been through so much so I was worried you were struggling again," Ethan replied.
"Don't worry about any of that, our daughter noticed since she and I spent a lot more time together while you've been at work." You commented.

Or it could've been something else but honestly, neither of you wanted to focus on that, both of you had to move again and you had found an, even more, better home to live and raise Rose in. So focusing on that proved to be helpful since now the Winter Family was starting anew.

But...that happiness was short-lived as you brought up the topic of the agreement you faced with the BSAA.

"I made an agreement with the BSSA..." You sighed.
"What agreement?" Ethan asked.
"I agreed to work for them again if they left Rose alone...sure she'll have to have constant check-ups but they'll let her be a normal child as much as she can be if I give most of my freedom or so up as it feels like." You explained.
"WHAT?! Are they serious?" Ethan replied.
"Honey we've got no choice if it means to protect her, I don't want them using her as a weapon for this world...so if I have to work for them until I die then I'll do anything." You replied.
"I...I don't like this not one bit." Ethan sighed.

The reality of the situation weight on Ethan's mind, but neither he nor you could do much about any of this. But if this meant that Rose was safe then clearly this was currently your only option in order to keep her safe. You both just hoped that it would benefit Rose completely.

                                                               **Years Later**

Rose was now a beautiful teenager and despite the constant tests she had to go through ultimately lived a rather somewhat normal life. Aside from the fact that her mother was out on missions for the BSAA Rose seemed to understand a bit better these days more so than she did before in the past growing up.

'Man...I sure gave my mother a hard time for not putting in the effort to be around. I just couldn't see the sacrifice she made for me a long time ago...' Rose thought.

She sat there on the local bus heading home from school as she held the book you and her father would always read to her growing up. Honestly, it was hard bad then since as a young girl Rose at the time didn't understand why her mother was away all the time and her father was there every day...there were days when she needed you her mother and could only get comfort through video call or even just on the phone....but sometimes not at all.

It was a hard few years but as she grew older it was finally revealed to her the truth and that's when one day she tearfully apologized to you, but you being the amazing mother you could be just smiled gently at her, brought her into your arms and easily forgave her.

"You know I could never be mad with you, dear. I understand how you feel. Your grandfather wasn't home so much for me when I was your age and I'm so sorry I have to do the same..." Your voice ran through her head.

'I was so scared she would be mad at me for how I treated her for so long...but I should've known she wouldn't be...she's just that kind of person.' Rose thought smiling out the window as she watched the scenery pass by.

Getting off at her stop she walked a few blocks to her home only to see her mother's jeep in the driveway, smiling cheerfully she ran inside while dropping her back on the ground and into the living room where she saw her mother - you still in your BSAA outfit and rushed towards you to jump into your arms.

"Mom!!" Rose shouted.
"Hello dear, how are you?" You asked chuckling a bit.
"Easy, Rose." Ethan laughed.
"How long are you home?" Rose asked.
"The whole month." You replied.
"Really?! Awesome!" Rose smiled.

You and Ethan just laughed and brought her into a small yet warm family hug, later in the day starting to plan for some family time together that had been long awaited.
