Ethan knew that soon enough he'd have to encounter Lady Dimitrescu again so with that in mind he quickly searched the area for anything he could use in his favour not much was really found but either way he'd take anything he could to be useful in his time here. After pushing the heavy lever up and waiting for the metal gate to open Ethan entered and began walking through the different 'rooms' that he guessed he could use if Lady Dimitrescu ever came down here.
'Most likely she would so I better get out of here quickly.' Ethan thought.
But when he did reach the exit he heard Lady Dimitrescu grunt just as she cut off one of his hands.
"Like I'd let you get away. You'll be sliced to ribbons--before you ever see that child!" Lady Dimitrescu says as she throws him to the side by his throat.
Getting to his feet Ethan quickly used the maze of different 'rooms' to the best of whatever advantage he had which was slight and avoided her as much as he possibly could before grabbing his severed hand and then pushing the lever up once again all the way up and soon as the gate was open he rushed through and down the hall turning to his right just as Lady Dimitrescu was right behind him.
He used the key he found in her chambers to the door and quickly rushed in once it was unlocked only to find him on some sort of platform theorizing that this place must be where she came down there from. Though he did notice the statue head and remembered the headless statues by that door taking it off it actually had the platform under him slowly begin to raise up.
"Running will get you nowhere!" Lady Dimitrescu laughed at him.
Either way that's all he could do at this point since bullets never stopped her only stunned her for like one second if not even ever at all. So trying to kill her now was out of the question. The biggest question now though was how the hell was he supposed to do it in order or him to escape the castle alive? Guess that's something he'd have to find out for himself.
But besides that Ethan fell to his knees as he then used the medical fluid he made earlier and poured some of it on his arm then reattached his hand to it as if it was nothing like it was just something normal for him to go through and see. Either way he later slowly closed his hand in a slight fist flexing it around to see if the feeling was back which it was.
"Man screw this castle," Ethan muttered to himself as the platform raised all the way up to where the courtyard was at.
That was actually good cause this gave him time to put in the first statue head he had found on the right statue then quickly go back to The Duke so that he could hopefully get more supplies for whatever awaited him later.
"It's a pleasure to see you safe. How were things?" The Duke asked.
"No sign of Rose," Ethan replied.
"I'm...so sorry it turned out that way. Well, you'll find your way to her once you're out of this castle. Do you have need of anything for the road ahead?" The Duke replied to him.
In fact, he did so he quickly went for some more ammo for any future encounters he knew he'd be facing along with more shotgun ammo in case he needed to use it for quick work of these things. Or well whatever they were called he didn't know.
When he attempted to get back to the courtyard Ethan once again encountered Lady Dimitrescu to avoid her claws he tried to move around the furniture in the room there and head back for the courtyard. Quickly as he could Ethan then used the key he found in Lady Dimitrecu's chambers on the same door and got inside.
Making it to the top floor Ethan once again searched the place for whatever supplies he could use and gathered them up with whatever he was able to carry for the moment. The further he went the more he began to see such information about this place as well as a little bit about the three Dimitrescu daughters. Some of those things that were in the underground of the castle were there which were easy to take down for Ethan.
