*sigh*

Alright, here it is. Today is the day. The day that determines if my grade can finally move up to an A.

I know I'm ready for this math test, really. For the last week, I've stayed up all night, studying every note sheet and every piece of classwork and homework that we have. I can pass this with flying colors!

I took a deep breath and walked into the classroom.

Mr. Kim: "Good morning, Ms. Y/N! I trust your ready for today's math exam?"

"Yeah, I'm pretty ready!"

Mr. Kim: "Good, good. I trust you've also helped Dahyun go over the material she needed as well?"

Oh, Lord...

Honestly, trying to tutor Dahyun was a big struggle at the beginning.

Dahyun was such an airhead, all she cared about was going to the mall and gossiping. When she failed the last math test, that was the last straw for Mr. Kim. He pulled her aside and told her that not even any bribes are gonna stop him from flunking her!

Then, he pulled me aside and asked if I could be her tutor and help her study for the next test. At first, I was a bit hesitant, but Mr. Kim sweetened the deal by saying if Dahyun gets at least a D, he'll count that as extra credit towards my grade and I could have an A. After that, I happily agreed.

So, me and Dahyun went to my house to study. At first, it was a STRUGGLE. She was clueless about every topic we went over. I thought we weren't gonna get anywhere. However, we decided to take a bit of a... study break, and I'm not going into any detail about how that went.

But what we did apparently helped, because afterward, everything clicked in Dahyun's brain and she answered question after question correctly, writing notes down so she could understand the material. I sighed a sigh of relief.

Now that we had gotten somewhere, I was pretty confident in myself and Dahyun.

"Yeah, Dahyun did good on studying too! She wrote down notes and got most of her questions right."

Mr. Kim: "Great! I'm glad I could count on you, Y/N."

"Yeah! No problem."

I walked to my seat, happy that I helped out Mr. Kim, and confident that I would pass with no problem.

Unfortunately, there's always that ONE person who has to ruin a happy moment...

NY: "Someone's desperate for some extra credit, huh?"

I rolled my eyes.

"Nayeon, can you not? I'm in a really good mood right now, and I don't need you ruining it."

NY: "Oh, save it, Y/N. We ALL know you didn't actually tutor Dahyun. You probably did all her work for her and only SAID that you tutored her."

I sighed.

"Well, if you must know... we did struggle at the beginning, but after a little study break, we actually got somewhere, thank you very much. Just ask Dahyun once she walks in here!"
