🦋Thousands of thoughts twisted in knots.🦋
Raelynn's pov:
It was now 2 p.m and I was still in the office, in the mansion. I was done with today's work and I was sitting on my leather chair, feet crossed on the desk while scrolling through my phone to kill time.
Ryker and Jace were still out, doing their thing.
A new notification popped up on the screen and it was from my cousin Cassandra.
Wanna join me in the boutique?-C.
Cassandra, Ryker and I were born in the same year. Whenever we are together, it appeared like we were triplets and not twins. We were the same age, however, Cassandra was two months younger than us while I was 5 minutes younger than Ryker.
Sure-R
I sent her the reply before standing up. I made my way downstairs where it was quieter now as everyone was either in the backyard training or in their rooms relaxing.
I sat in my car and drove to her boutique. More precisely, her antique boutique. Cassandra has a secret that only close people to her know and understand.
She's a medium.
Her mother was a medium, her grandmother was a medium and she also inherited it from them. A medium is someone who can see spirits, feels spirits and talk to spirits.
The antique boutique was her mother, my aunt Isabelle's foundation. She used her 'gift'-as she likes to call it-to help people. When she died, Cassandra had the option to either close the boutique or take it over... and she chose the latter.
Not gonna lie, sometimes she freaks me out.
I would rather stay in the mafia world than go with her on spirit adventures.
Her father and my father are brothers. Both of them were well known in the Mafia world. However, when Cassandra was born, my uncle stopped everything illegal. He started a new job, less dangerous so that Cassandra has the best, safe life.
It was his decision so dad didn't argue with him.
The antique boutique was on a crowded street. I had to park way down on the street and walked up there. I opened the door, making the small bell ring as I stepped inside.
Cassandra turned to me and smiled, "Hey."
"Hey,"
An old lady walked to her with two books in her hands. She was by the bookshelf so I didn't see her when I walked inside.
She was wearing a white dress with pink flowers fading in the end. She was also wearing a pink hat and she holding a pink handbag.
"Hello," she smiled as she greeted me.
"Hi,"
"I'll take these two books dear," she said handing them to Cassandra.
"Are you sure? These books have a strong aura-"
"Yes I'm sure, don't you worry. I have my own collection at home." She smiled at her.
Cassandra chuckled, "Ok."
Cassandra packed the books before giving them to her. I walked to her side, behind the counter and sat on the chair that was by her.
"Thank you,"
The old lady walked out.
"What kind of books did she buy?" I asked Cassandra, curiously.
"The one that will wake you up in the middle of the night." She answered making me raise an eyebrow.
"What?"
She turned to face me, leaning her back against the counter.
"For some reason, these books kept falling off the shelf so I had to put them down and put some crystal rock on them for weight. I tried to open it to read it but I got a headache and the energy in them made me close the book instantly." She explained.
"And she said that she has a whole collection of them at home." I pointed out.
She shrugged, "Must be her thing."
"Why? Why do people like these kinds of stuffs? Don't they do nightmares at night?" I asked genuinely concerned.
"Everyone has their own type of adrenaline rush."
She walked to a big box that was by the table and picked out a few books.
"Can you help me?" She asked me and I nodded.
I walked to her and helped her with the books. I dusted them and then handed them to her so that she can place them on the shelf. We both got startled when we heard something heavy hit the ground. We snapped our heads to the source of the sound and we found a small pocket clock on the floor.
It's a small thing why did it make so much noise?
"Do you see anything?" I asked as I looked at Cassandra. She was staring at one spot, not blinking.
"It's the white lady... but there is another energy but I can't tell what it is." She explained.
Right the white lady.
There was a spirit, the white lady, who like to walk around. Cassandra named her the white lady as she was in a white dress. She never hurt anyone and Cassandra noticed that she protected her more than once from negative, bad energies.
"She doesn't like this energy either," Cassandra added.
She walked to the pocket clock and pick it up.
She furrowed her eyebrows, "I don't even know where this came from."
"How about you put it away... far away," I suggested.
"Yeah,"
Kyson's pov ;) :
As I put my phone down, the door of my office opened. I looked up and saw Valentino rushing in, with his laptop in his hand.
"I found Henrick." He says as he walked beside me. He put his laptop on the table and tapped play. I watched as I saw Henrick talking with a girl at the bar. The clip shows that they were both heading to the back door and then everything froze for a few minutes before it went back to normal.
However, both Henrick and the girl were gone.
"Is that it?" I inquired.
"Yes, there is no other clip about the girl or Henrick. We check the cameras on the street but looks like someone got access to them before us and deleted a good portion of it." Valentino explained.
"This is our only lead. Find the girl and ask her about Henrick." I stated.
"What if the girl is also missing? What if Henrick was able to kidnap her like he did previously to the others?" Valentino asked, having a solid point.
"We can't let this chance go, try to find the girl... if we are not successful then we will have to find another approach," I told him.
This was the only lead we have to find Natalie, our best friend Theo's sister.
