🦋The Scars lasted more than them🦋

Raelynn's pov:

The next day, we told Jace to gather everyone in the big lounge for a meeting regarding the Italian Mafia. Ryker and I know that it wasn't us as we weren't in town but there is a good probability that it might be one of the guys here.

"Silence everyone," Jace said standing with us at the front.

The noise in the lounge died down as everyone focus their attention on us.

"Yesterday we got to know that an Italian Mafia is looking for someone who killed his brother. Turns out that the murder happened within our area and now we are a target unless we are hundred percent innocent." Ryker started to talk, his voice echoed through the room. Everyone listened to him carefully.

"It happened on Monday at 4 p.m. We were out of town so it wasn't us but if anyone among you here knows anything about this, you need to tell us. Even if one of you did this, we'll help you out of it but we need to know the truth." I spoke clearly.

"We won't let you down, we'll try our best to help you out," Ryker added.

They whispered among themselves but no one came ahead to take the blame.

"Looks like no one did it," Jace commented, looking at Ryker and me.

"That's actually good news." I pointed out.

"Yeah, no additional work for us," Ryker added.

"Dismiss them, but we will have them write a small statement to prove that indeed they are innocent," I stated.

"Alright."

I turned to walk to the stairs when I heard Jim call my name. I turned around and saw him walking through the crowd with a big red rose bouquet in his hand. The guys part their way to the side, creating a path for Jim.

Jace whistled turning to me with a smirk.

"Jim..." I gave him a questioning look.

"Oh no, it's not from me. It got delivered here." Jim explained as he handed it to me.

I raised an eyebrow.

It got delivered?

"Who?" I asked.

He shrugged, "There is a note, you should probably read it."

As he was still holding the bouquet forward for me, I reached to grab only the note.

"Damn sis, you got a secret admirer," Ryker commented.

I opened the letter.

Ended on a bad note yesterday so here are some roses for you. I hope you'll understand that the other piece of shit is just some shit. I've always had your heart and I know I still do.
