🦋Time: The healer and The killer🦋

Ryker's pov ;) :

Today, I was driving to the mansion alone. Jace was on bodyguard duty with Cassandra while Raelynn took a day off, relaxing in her house. These past few days were nerve-wracking for her as for some reason Malcolm kept sending her flowers and notes...

She threw everything and kept only the bouquet that the guys at the mansion gave her, which was understandable.

The main road has a major traffic jam so I turned to one of the shortcuts which were by the park. As I was driving at a normal speed, I occasionally look through the window at the park.

It seems empty.

I did a double take when I thought that I saw Natalie, making me stop. There was no other car behind. However, when I checked again, it was her. She was sitting on one of the benches, alone. I parked the car a little away on the street before stepping out and making my way to her.

Why was she alone?

I slowly approached her, keeping a good distance in case she doesn't feel comfortable having me close to her.

"Hi," I greeted her.

She looked up at me.

"Oh hi," She gave me a light smile when she recognised me.

"How are you?" I asked her.

"I'm good," she replied. Her voice was so soft and low, it was peaceful to hear.

"That's good to hear," I smiled, "Are you alone?"

"Oh no, Theo went to grab some ice cream for me." She explained and I nodded.

Good.

"May I sit?" I inquired.

She chuckled, "Sure."

I sat beside her, keeping a good distance between us. She was wearing a sky blue dress, a white cardigan and a pair of white shoes. Her blonde hair was braided on each side like a crown, the back was straight falling on her back.

I looked straight, not wanting to stare more.

"Thank you for the other day, I couldn't talk properly and I wasn't able to thank you or your sister for helping me." She said making me shift my gaze to her.

"It's okay, we are glad that you are safe and doing well," I reassured her.

There was a comfortable silence.

"Theo told me that you regularly check on my health," She said making me shift my gaze back to her.

Way to make me sound creepy.

I chuckled, "I'm not a creep."

She laughed.

"I never said that," she smiled.

"But I'm sure you were thinking about it," I said and she gave me a shrug with an innocent face.

See...

"I knew someone who went through the same stuff that you and she didn't make it. I guess keeping an update on you helps me by reminding me that we were able to save you." I explained.

"She was close to you?" She asked, her pretty brown eyes fixed on me.

"Yeah, she was really close to me," I spoke.

"Well you know constantly calling my brother to ask about me is kinda odd." She pointed out.

"I know," I murmured.
