{Two Months Later}
Hyunjin was at his parent's house, visiting his family for a few days and getting a well deserved break from collage and all its drama.
For a long time now, he's been over everything that had happened. He had been working hard on forgetting everything.
With each day he made progress, not thinking about that person right away whenever he first woke up, starting to work out, getting back on track with his studying and fixing what he had messed up with those few failed exams, even finding himself a new crush, but being too scared to approach them.
Maybe Chan's sudden disappearance from collage after their last encounter was the best thing that had happened to him. Not seeing him meant not thinking about him. Out of sight, out of mind.
Life's been good, just as the angelic smell of the freshly washed clothing infront of himself. Doing laundry had always been a chore up until now, but lately, he has learned to appreciate the little things in life such as the nice smell of washed clothing.
"Morning Hyunjinnie." He heard his mother's sweet voice greeting him as she came down the stairs, having just woken up.
"Morning mom, did you sleep well?"
His mother chuckled, still not used to this new version of her son who'd ask her small questions like that to remind her that he actually cares about her.
"My sleep wasn't bad, but it would be better if your father had bought us that new mattress I showed him last week!"
The boy laughed and took a short break from hanging up the clothes to give her a quick hug, whispering lowly behind her "You know.. since you're birthday is coming up, I think I might've heard about a few things dad has been planning for you. But you didn't hear anything from me!"
His mother let go of him with a huge smile, giving him a loving peck on his cheek before walking off to the kitchen with a laugh to prepare breakfast "You've changed a lot lately, but one thing's still the same, you just can't keep secrets to yourself!"
"Hey! That's not true!" Hyunjin spoke with a slightly louder sarcastic tone before she had dissapeared into the kitchen with another laugh.
He chuckled to himself and picked up the shirt from earlier he was about to hang up on the clothesline, when suddenly the phone in the hallway started ringing.
"Hyunjin can you take that please? I'm busy." His mother called from the kitchen and he answered with a quick 'yes' before heading towards the phone.
It was an old fashioned corded caller which practically only his family was still using. He picked up the speaker and held it against his ear, immediatly taking a step back at the loud sound of Jisung's screaming and yelling voice.
"Hyunjin! Please tell me you're at home right now! Chan-"
Hyunjin right away moved the speaker back to the phone and hang up with a scoff. He told Jisung multiple times that talking about the person who's name started with a 'C' and ended with an 'N' was prohibited and taboo around him.
It was time that he finally understood and stopped reminding him of that person! Besides, he shouldn't be screaming like that knowing Hyunjin's mother or father could've been the ones to pick up the phone instead.
The phone immediatly started ringing again and he simply chose to ignore it until Jisung had finally taken the hint and stopped harassing him. This was his time off, not the time for any drama.
They had promised to let Chan deal with whatever he had to deal with on his own and as bad as he used to feel for the older, he realized that all of this wasn't any of his business and he most definitely didn't even want to make it any of his business.
