Chan just shook his head underneath the blanket, sobbing and his body shaking.

Hyunjin looked at the ball of a blanket on the bed infront of himself, his expression saddening as he could hear the older crying.

He hated this. He promised himself to never get close to Chan again, but the fact that his heart was still considering actually doing it was bothering him to the sky.

"Channie please, let me see you! I hate knowing you're crying but I can't do anything to help!"

The older again shook his head, sniffling and still trembling. Hyunjin didn't know what else to do, he just had to threaten Chan to make him get out of there.

"I'm telling you, if you don't let me see you, I will hug you!"

To his surprise, the boy suddenly turned silent, only another little sniffle being heard. Then, two hurt eyes suddenly peaked at him from underneath the blanket.

They blinked twice, before they abruptly dissapeared underneath the sheets again, making Hyunjin chuckle.

"If a hug is what you want, why didn't you just say so?" He laughed again, carefully taking a seat on the edge of the bed and looking down the the potato wrapped in a blanket beside himself.

Chan took in a deep breath and collected every last bit of courage to leave the safety of the blanket around himself and sit up on the bed to look at Hyunjin.

He felt his heart beating quicker just looking at the youngers face. Both out of fear of doing or saying anything wrong, but also simply because Hyunjin looked so handsome and pretty.

Giving his all to keep the eye-contact, he started gesturing that he wasn't really able to properly speak up right now, that he was sorry about it.

It took a moment for Hyunjin to understand, but when he did, he just nodded. He didn't get mad and neither did he scream at Chan, surprising the older.

He started smiling, softly looking at the other "That's okay, nobody's rushing you yeah? And please.. I can't see your eyes all swollen and hurt like this. You're safe with me now, you don't need to be scared."

Hyunjin tried to reach for the older, but Chan instinctively flinched back without even meaning to, scrunshing his eyes shut.

"I- I'm sorry, I didn't mean to!" The younger apologized immediately, backing away so the other wouldn't feel threatened or scared.

The boy shook his head, looking down as he teared up again before looking back at Hyunjin "N-no! I-i'm s-sorry!"

"Chan please, don't apologize to me for something you can't control! I know time has passed but... nothing has really changed. You can still feel safe around me. I know it's hard for you, and I'm not pressuring you into getting close to me any time soon if that's something you're not ready for yet. All I want you to know is that you don't have to apologize for such trivial things. You don't need to be scared of me hurting you because I promise, I seriously would never. Even if I was mad, like mad mad, so mad I can't even distinguish my mom from my dad, even then, I wouldn't dare to ever hit you or even come close to you okay?"
