Mini Skip ~ a Luke Brooks Love Story

Chapter 9

*Daniels P.O.V*

The next morning I decided to talk to Mrs.Brooks about all of this. I left a note on the fridge for Hannah saying I was out shopping and would be back later. I grabbed my keys and hopped into my Range Rover. I drove to The Brooks household and parked on the curb outside. I walked up the driveway and rang the doorbell. "Just a second" I hear being shouted from what sounded like upstairs. In a matter of seconds the door was open and I was standing face to face with Mrs. Brooks. "Daniel sweety are you here to see the boys?" Asked Mrs. Brooks. "No I was actually here to see you Mrs. Brooks" I said shyly. "Oh okay then come on in" she said with a smile "and please stop calling me Mrs. Brooks, Gina is fine lovey". "Okay will do Gina" I said. "So what's the matter?" Asked Gina as we sat down in the living room. "Well you see my granny in America is very sick so my mum needs to look after her and she can't look after my granny and run the bakery by herself so she needs me to come over and help her out" I say very fast. "Okay but why do you need me?" Gina asked. "Well because Hannah needs to go to school and she can't live by herself so I was wondering if she could live with you for a little while" I said. "Of course she can I would love to have a girl around the house" Gina said with a huge smile on her face. I thanked Gina and went back to my car. Once seated I took out my phone and dialled James' number. I explained the situation to him and asked would he like to come with me which of course he said yes. Now all that's left to do is tell Hannah.

*Hannah's P.O.V*

I woke up to screaming. I opened my eyes to see Tara and Katie jumping on the bed singing (or should I say screaming) the lyrics to Rockin' Robin. "Will you to ever shut up" I laugh as I push Katie off the bed. "NOT UNLESS YOU MAKE US PANCAKES" screamed Tara. "Okay okay I'll make pancakes" I say in surrender. I walk downstairs and into the kitchen. I go to open the fridge and see a note taped to it saying "I'm going shopping I'll be back later - Daniel". I throw it in the bin and start making pancakes.

When we all finished eating pancakes I cleaned up the kitchen. Katie and Tara went home and I was left home alone. I decided to have a nice relaxing bath. I went upstairs to the bathroom and turned the tap on the bath on. When the water was warm I slipped out of my clothes and stepped into the lovely hot bath. I stayed in there for about half an hour just thinking about things.

*Daniels P.O.V*

I opened the front door of me and Hannah's house. "Hannah?" I called out. "Ye" I hear from upstairs. "Where are you" I ask. "In my room getting dressed i'll be down in a minute" she called. A few minutes later Hannah comes running down the stairs. "What's up?" She asks with a smile on her face. "We need to talk" I say to her as I sit on the couch. "Okay talk" she says sitting down beside me. "Well our granny in America is very sick" I say "and mum needs to take time off work to take care of her so she needs someone to take over the bakery for a while" "okay so what's that got to do with us?" Asks Hannah. "Well mum called me about a week ago and asked me would I do it and I said yes" I say to Hannah "and before you even ask no you're not aloud go" "WHY NOT?" she shouts. "Because you have to go to school" I reply. "So I'm suppose to live here my myself?" She asks. "No you're going to live with The Brooks" I say looking into her eyes "look Hannah I'm sorry I wish you could come but you can't and its only for I little while I promise" I say sincerely. "Okay fine" says Hannah as she stands up and walks upstairs. "Well that went well" I thought to myself.
