Chapter 11

~~Meanwhile In America~~

*Daniel's P.O.V*

I'm just standing here cleaning the counter in the bakery when the most beautiful girl I've ever seen walks through the door. I'm mesmerized by the way she walks. I'm too busy staring into her eyes to realise she'd been talking to me. "sorry what was that?" I asked. "I said can I have one of those scones" she said pointing to the stack if scones behind the glass. "yes of course" I said politely. I took a small paper bag and opened it up. Then I carefully picked up one of the scones and placed it in the bag. "that'll be $1" I said to her with a smile. As she was taking out her purse I took a marker out of the drawer and carefully wrote my number on the bag without her noticing. She handed me the dollar and I thanked her. I couldn't help but stare at her in awe as she walked out the door. She looked like an angel. As I was opening the register to but the dollar in, I saw a little piece of paper in my hand. I held it up to my face to see a number on it. I put it in my pocket with a smile on my face. "This should be interesting" I thought to myself.

~~Back In Melbourne~~

*Hannah's P.O.V*

I woke up slightly confused on where I was. Then I remembered I was staying in The Brooks Household. I got up and put my hair in a messy bun. I walked downstairs into the kitchen to see three half naked boys sitting around the table. I said good morning to them and went to go put on some toast. When it popped I buttered it and took a bite. I tried to avoid eye contact with Luke.

*Luke's P.O.V*

I'd been feeling a bit off lately. Jai and Beau were talking about some football match that i really had no interest in. All i could think about was lunch with Hannah yesterday. It went awful.

*flashback*

I was walking into the canteen when I saw Hannah. "there you are" I said with a smile. "here I am" she replied with a laugh. We got our lunch and sat down at the table. It was kind of awkward considering we hadn't talked in so long. "so how are you?" I asked trying to make conversation. "I'm fine" was all she said without even looking at me. "Look Hannah why are you so mad me?" I asked her. She looked at me with a shocked expression. "YOU KISSED MY BEST FRIEND AND DIDN'T EVEN APOLOGISE!!" she shouted. "SO WHAT??" I shouted back. "ITS NOT LIKE IM YOUR BOYFRIEND". I instantly regretted saying that. She got up and ran out of the canteen with tears in her eyes.

*end of flashback*

I felt so stupid. Why did i have to mess things up just as they were getting better.

~~Later That Day~~

I was walking into science when I see Hannah sitting in the front beside Katie. Me and Hannah have always sat in the back together in science. But i guess thats over now I thought as I sat in the back.

"Okay class I want you to do group projects for me and before you ask no you can not pick your partner" said Mr. Ward from the top of the classroom. All I could think was "please be Hannah please be Hannah".

*Hannah's P.O.V*

All I could think when Mr. Ward was calling the names was "anyone but Luke anyone but Luke". Then i heard Mr. Ward say "Katie and Jai, Luke and Hannah....". "Why do bad things happen to good people?" I thought to myself.
