Mini Skip ~ a Luke Brooks Love Story

Chapter 10

Hannah's P.O.V

It's now Sunday night. I was finishing packing my bags. Tonight Daniel is leaving and I'm moving into the Brooks household. I'm going to miss Daniel like crazy but ill have the girls and boys, well minus Luke. He's still trying to get me to forgive him. I kind of have forgiven him I just haven't told him. I should probably soon as he's giving up his room for me which is really sweet.

It's about six o' clock now. I'm driving Daniel to the airport at 8 and then I'm going to the Brooks house. I decided to run downstairs and make hot chocolate for Daniel and I as he's still packing his bags. If you ask me he's cutting it a bit fine.

I get the milk out and pour it into the pot I placed on the stove. I put two scoops of the chocolate powder and sugar into the pot and then whisked it all up. I dipped my finger into the pot every few minutes waiting for it to be the right temperature. Finally it was. I pored it into two separate mugs and picked them up to start my journey up the stairs.

When I got upstairs Daniels door was open so I walked in calling his name.

"Ye I'm in here." He replied from the inside of his wardrobe before I saw lots of clothes fall from the top shelf. I rolled my eyes at my brother and asked "are you ok?"

"Yup!" He replied popping the 'p'.

He soon came out of the wardrobe tripping over some fallen clothes.

"I made us Hot Chocolate" I said handing him his mug. He grinned and gulped a good half of it back.

"There's this little thing called savouring, maybe you should try it out, ye?" I spoke in a teasingly manner. He laughed and shook his head at me.

I checked my phone for the time.

"We have to go in half an hour" I say while I sit down on his bed beside his surprisingly neatly packed suitcase.

"I'll be ready"

"Ok, good. I'm going to load my bags into the boot of the car and do one last check to make sure I haven't forgotten anything."

"Ye, ok ill put mine in the car in a sec"

I nod and get up to leave the room.

I put my bags in the car then do a sweep of the house. I hop into the drivers seat as Daniel is putting his bags into the boot. He finally slides into the seat beside me and we're off.

I pulled up in the drop-off zone outside the airport. I lean over the gear stick to give Daniel a hug and a kiss on the cheek. He smiles and returns the favour. He gets out of the car and goes around to the boot. I turn around in my seat to see him leave.

"I'll see you soon" he says to me

"You will indeed. I love you!" I shout as he closes the boot and I pull out of the airport.

When I arrive at the Brooks household it all hits me like a tonne of bricks. I won't see my brother for a good few week. I've never gone longer than two days. I burst into tears as I ring the doorbell. Gina opens the door. I collapse into her arms.

"Your room is ready if you want to go straight to bed. But if you want to talk I'm here. Don't be afraid"

I nod and say a small thank you as I lug my bags upstairs and to Luke's room as he is staying in Jai's room. I close the door and go straight to sleep.

Luke's P.O.V

*At school following day*

And we're back in school. The break seemed to fly by. Today is the last time I'm trying to get Hannah to forgive me after that she can come to me as I've been trying for two weeks. All I did was kiss her friend but no offence to her friend it was horrible. I wish Hannah knew how badly I wanted it to have been her.

This morning on the way to school I bought some red and white roses and right now they're in my locker. It's the middle of class now as I'm going to put the flowers in Hannah's locker along with an 'Im sorry' note. I was about to turn down the corridor of Hannah's locker with the flowers in hand when I heard somebody whimpering. I turned the corner to see one of the school dick heads up against a girl who he'd pushed against the locker. I saw a strand of hair I'd know anywhere. The girl was Hannah and Dylan was trying to kiss her against her will.

Before I knew what I was doing I had dropped the flowers and ran over to Hannah. I pulled Dylan off of her and swung at him and punched him in the face. He was scared so he legged it away. I turned to look at Hannah. She threw her arms around my neck while mine went around her waist. I put my back to the lockers and lowered us to the ground slowly. Hannah was sitting in my lap sobbing into my neck.

"I'm so sorry Luke" we're the first word to escape her lips.

"Why are you sorry. I'm the one who kissed your friend. Are you ok?"

She nodded " ye I'm grand now. Thank you. You saved me." She said as she lifted her face to look into my eyes.

"And I was just being a stubborn pain in the ass over the kiss and I almost lost you over it. It wasn't even that big of a deal. I'm sorry"

"It's grand and you had the right she was your friend I shouldn't of kissed her. I'm sorry. What do you say about forgiving and forgetting?" I ask hopefully

"I'd really like that Luke " she looks around and says "we better get to class." I nod and then turn around and grab her roses. I hand them to her along with a quick kiss on the cheek. She flings her arms around my neck and says "Thank You" into my ear. I smile in response as she puts the roses into her locker.

"I'll see you at lunch, ye?" I ask as she closes and locks her locker before she turns to face me with a smile on her face.

"Definitely" she says. We then both turn and walk in the opposite directions to each other heading back to class.

On my way back to class my heart is racing with joy while in my head all I can think of is, "Hannah and me will be really good friends once again. No more ignoring the other. Can't wait for lunch!"
