Chapter 23

*Hannah's P.O.V*

I woke with I start. I had another nightmare. I quietly sobbed as I wandered into Luke and Jai's room. I walked over to Luke's bed but it was empty. "Luke?" I whispered into the darkness. "Luke?" I said a bit louder getting quite worried. "Hannah?" I heard a reply from the other side of the room. "Jai?" I asked. "Ye, you okay?" He asked propping himself up on his elbow. "Where's Luke?" I asked. "He's dropping our mum off at the airport, did you have a nightmare?" He asked. "Ye, I'm really scared Jai" I replied shaking. "Come here" he said lifting back the covers. I crawled in beside him and soon felt a lot better. He put his arms around my waist, in a brotherly way, and I snuggled into his side. I soon drifted into a peaceful sleep.

*Luke's P.O.V*

I was in the car dropping my mum to the airport. She was going to London with a few of her friends. She never asks any of us to drive her anywhere so when she asked me this time I couldn't say no, even though I so desperately wanted to be there if Hannah had a nightmare.

I made small talk with my mum until we got to the airport. It's not that I didn't want to have a proper conversation it's just that my mind is elsewhere.

I parked the car, opened the door and got out. I took my mothers bags out of the boot and carried them to the check in desk for her. We said our goodbyes and I left. I got back in the car and began my lonely car journey home.

It was starting to get bright as I pulled into the driveway of my house. "I guess I don't get to go to sleep tonight" I thought to myself. I unlocked the front door and went inside. I made my way over to Hannah's room. I looked inside and saw her light on with the sheets everywhere, but no Hannah. I began to panic. I walked into mine and Jai's room and what I saw tore me apart. Hannah and Jai sleeping together all snuggled up in only their underwear. I felt tears escape my eyes. At first I was sad, but now I'm just pissed off. I lunged on top of my sleeping brother and punched him straight in the face. He woke with a start and so did Hannah. "What th-" but he was cut short by me punching him again. Jai raised his foot and kicked me in the stomach. I doubled over in pain. "What the hell are you doing!?" Jai asked me holding his jaw. "Why don't you tell me what you two were doing?" I said. "Hannah had a nightmare and you weren't here so I comforted her" Jai replied. "Oh likely story" I said sarcastically. "Luke he's telling the truth that's what happened" said Hannah. "No it's not stop lying to me you slut!" I said.

*Hannah's P.O.V*

"Stop lying to me you slut"

How could he say that to me. I was so crushed that not even tears would show my feelings. I stood up and walked out of the room without looking at either of the boys. I walked into my own room and locked the door. I called Tara and asked her could she and Donal pick me up for school. She said of course and I hung up. I got dressed numbly. Numb. That's how I felt. I felt as if I was missing a part of me. I felt hollow.

I heard a car horn honk and I ran outside. I got into the car and began to tell Tara the whole story of what happened that night.

*Jai's P.O.V*

I lay in bed shocked. "Why are you such an idiot?" I asked Luke. "Excuse me?" Luke asked. "We clearly didn't do anything because one, I have a girlfriend, two, she's like my sister, three, I wouldn't do that to you." I said to my twin. "Then why were you both half naked?" He asked. "Because I went to sleep in this and she came in here in that looking for you so we just stayed like this. No biggy" I explained. "Why do you have to have such a short temper?" I asked. No reply. "And why did you have to call her a slut?" I asked. No reply. "You're an idiot Luke" I said walking out the door. "I know" I heard him whisper to himself as I left.
