Mini Skip ~ a Luke Brooks Love Story

Chapter 14

*Hannah's P.O.V*

It's been a week since the dance. When we woke up the next morning Luke's arms were wrapped around my waist. I swear it was the best sleep I'd gotten in a long time. Luke had hopped out of bed quickly and run to Jai's room to get a box which I was then handed.

[FLASHBACK]

I looked at him confused saying "you already got me this" putting my hand on my chest where the necklace fell. Luke shook his head smiling "No, it's from Skip" he said referring to my brother by his nickname "he hid it in your house before he left and told me to give it to you yesterday but I may have slightly forgotten" he gave a sheepish grin looking guilty. I shook my head laughing "it's grand. That was really sweet of him though. I'll ring him after I open it" he nods as I begin to open it.

When I finally get the box open after tearing lots of layers of wrapping paper off a pair of earring fall into my lap. It's a really nice pair of gold stud earrings I grin and slip one through my ear while Luke looks at me with a confused face. "What's wrong" I asked him. "Nothing is that not hard not looking in a mirror?" I smile at his concern for my well-being but shake my head in answer to his question. "Do you want to put the other one in?" He nods his head slowly slightly unsure but never the less pulled me into his lap with his back to the backboard of the bed. He takes the earring from my hand and slides it slowly but carefully into my ear. I'm smiling as every few seconds he's asking if he's hurting me and I shake my head. He gets the earring the rest of the way through then I hand him the back of the earring before he puts in on. He gives me a quick peck on the forehead before I reach over to the bedside table to grab my phone and ring my brother.

[FLASHBACK OVER]

Today Is Luke Jai and I's last day before we're back to school. Katie, Tara and I are going shopping and then meeting Luke, Jai and Donal for dinner then all heading back to Tara and Donals house as their parents are away and were having a movie night as its an early dinner.

~~At the shops~~

We were all taking it in turns to be the ones to be made try on dress after dress for tonight. Tara is probably the one with the most fashion sense so we were trusting her opinion the most. We had Tara and Katie sorted with their dresses so now it was my turn. I was in the dressing room trying a different dress every few minutes as we couldn't find one that looked good. After about an hour of this one was thrown over the door that was a deep but not quite navy blue. It sparkled under the light and hugged my body really well and according to the girls it brought out the blue in my eyes. We went to the cash desk and payed for our dresses before heading to Katie's to get ready.

We had and hour and a half to get ready so we were rushing. I did my make up while Katie did Tara's hair. Then I did Tara's make up while Katie did her own hair. Tara then got dressed while I rushed to do Katie's make up as we were going to be late but Katie didn't really mind if we were that late calling it 'fashionably late' so she took her time doing my hair. We then had five minutes to get dressed and somehow we pulled it off as we were soon in the car on the way to the restaurant.

When we walked inside I was about to walk up to the girl and ask where the boys were when someone called my name. It was Luke who was at the table where the girls had already made their way to. I sat down beside Luke who grabbed my hand and laced our fingers under the table while we looked at the menu.

It wasn't long before we had dessert menus on our table with a chocolate lava cake or fondant at the bottom. Donal spoke up and suggested we get three of them and share between two. I looked to Luke and he nodded smiling at me. So when the waiter came over Luke said "three fondants with six spoons" the waiter slightly chuckled nodding and writing it down and walking away. We all dug in when it came Luke spoon feeding me half the time while I was in a fit of giggles. We then split the bill and left for Tara and Donals.

*Luke's P.O.V*

When we got to the house I jumped onto the couch so I was lying down saving it for Hannah and I. I moved so that my back was to the back of the couch while Hannah was slipping off her shoes. Hannah lay on the couch so that her back was up against my chest and I slipped my arms around her as well as lacing our fingers together. Tara popped in the DVD before sitting on Jai's lap and mirroring her brothers and Katie's position on the opposite arm chair.

I looked to the screen to see Tara had put in a horror movie. It was the one and only one that got under my skin and I really didn't like. I nuzzled my head into Hannah's neck choosing not to watch while wondering if Hannah was gonna be afraid of this movie. My question was soon answered as Hannah flipped herself around so she could bury her head in my chest. I smiled and stoked her hair comfortingly.
