Chapter 30

**Hannah's P.O.V.**

I woke up to strong arms, loosely slung around my waist. Of course though, every time I tried to move to see his cute, sleeping face, my ability to move was taken away by his arms protectively tightening around my waist. So, I settled where I was. My back pressed against his chest. His nose buried in my neck so as that I could feel his heavy, uneven breathing against my shoulder. It sent shivers up and down my spine each time and made my heart race. I loved it because it was just one of those many things that made me love Luke that bit more each time it happened.

Finally I got slightly hungry so I started running my foot up and down Luke's leg. He started to stir and I knew he was awake enough for me to turn around so I was facing him without being stopped. I pressed a light kiss to his chin as right now that was the only thing in my reach. He smiled down at me giving me a proper kiss on the lips. Only to be interrupted by my stomach rumbling a few moments later. My cheeks flushed red and I smiled in embarrassment. Luke just laughed while saying "I think someone's hungry." He sang the last bit of 'hungry', dragging it out.

"Yes, but only a little!" I claimed begging for more time just in bed and warm and cosy with Luke. Jai wasn't in the room so it was just us. But, as my luck would have it, my stomach rumbled again. This time louder.

"Ok," I started to admit sheepishly' "maybe a bit more than a little" we laughed just as Jai came barging in, ruining whatever moment we were having that I was really enjoying by the way. This time -unlike the last time when he interrupted our cute moment in bed about three months ago- he came in with a big smile on his face looking extremely excited about something.

~FLASHBACK~

(Roughly 3 months ago)

**Jai's P.O.V.**

So this morning I had gotten a text from Tara. Lately I don't know what's going on between us. It feels like everything is forced and there isn't any spark. If I'm being honest, I don't think there ever was. We were never like Luke and Hannah. We haven't even said we loved each other and we've been together a long time now. I don't think we were ever really going anywhere but down. I have been thinking of breaking up with her but I don't know how.

So when I got a text from Tara this morning saying 'we need to talk' some sort of relief washed over me thinking of how I would no longer have to break up with herald she would break up with me instead. We decided to meet at a cafe for breakfast. I don't know why we were doing this at 7 am when I could be sleeping but I wasn't in any mood for arguing.

When I got to the cafe I saw Tara there with a coffee cup in front of her. I smiled and walked over. She looked up at me and smiled as I gave her a quick kiss on the cheek before sitting down.

"So, how come we're here at the ungodly hour of 7?" I was starting to get curious as to what she wanted.

"Um, Jai I'm moving"

"What do you mean?"

"My dad got a job in Britain and we are all going with him" she stated while fiddling with her now half empty cup. She hadn't met my eyes the whole time she was telling me so I knew I wasn't getting the full story.

"When?" I asked keeping my expression straight.

She finally looked up at me as she said almost robotically, rehearsed "today".

I stood up and walked out of the cafe so that if I got mad I wasn't blowing up in the cafe.

Today? She didn't even have the decency to tell me! My bloody god. People these days! I heard her soft footsteps running after me. "Jai, wait!" I stooped walking but didn't turn around. "I'm sorry ok? I'm so stupid for not telling you but I guess I tried to avoid it because somehow it didn't feel real! I'm sorry." Her voice was now thick with tears and reducing to a whisper.

I slowly turned around. "Tara, I mean I honestly have no idea what to say. I mean obviously this is the end but why did you have no decency. Was I that bad of a boyfriend that you thought I wouldn't comfort you about this or that you couldn't even tell me?" Honestly if I had something right now I would probably be breaking it into tiny pieces on the ground out of anger but for the sake of all the little kids and their parents walking to school right now I'm holding it in.

Now this was a shock. She's been lying to me for god knows how long and that is the true reason I'm angry. One thing I hate is a liar.

She couldn't even look at me.

"What about Donal and Katie? Did you even tell Hannah?"

She met my eyes as she told me "they split a couple of days ago and Hannah hated my guts for only telling her yesterday. She's ok though now and we promised to keep in touch. Jai I'm sorry. I don't generally live in the future or the past but in the present and I didn't think of the consequences of not telling you sooner. I really am sorry." Tears started forming in her eyes. I decided to just say goodbye on whatever good note is left.

I walked up to her and took her head in my hands trying to smother my anger for a couple more minutes. I wiped a stray tear and gave her a strong kiss on the lips.

"Goodbye Tara. Hopefully we can still be friends in some way. I'll see you later." I smiled briefly, turned on my heel and walked away. I had to do it clean and sharp so no long distance relationship came about as I was not committed to her enough for that.

As soon as I got home I ran straight to my room and slammed the door startling Hannah and Luke. I told them what had happened before we all went down for breakfast.

FLASHBACK OVER

**Hannah's P.O.V.**

"What's got you so happy mister?" I asked Jai laughing at his goofy grin.

"I" he began as he started changing his shirt with Luke quickly covering my eyes in case he decided to change his trousers as well, "have a date!" He was so happy in stating it. It was nearly beyond adorable.

"And who's the lucky lady?" Luke asked even though it was more than likely going to be Ariana. They've been in contact for a couple of months over the phone as she lives in America. They met when we were all over there a couple of months ago but that's a whole other story that I will tell another time.

"Ariana" he admitted with his grin only growing.

"That's cute but how come you guys are heading out so early? What are you going to do with her?" I asked because it could only be around 11am.

"Uhm Hannah?" Jai asked slightly confused.

"Yes?"

"It's actually 3pm. It's not early, you guys are just still in bed sleeping. Sam has been distracting Daniel with baking muffins so that he won't wake the two of you up! Apparently she came in here this morning and found you two and wanted to let you be. But ye, it's not too early for my date!"

"Wow! I can't believe it's already the afternoon! I must thank Sam later because I really needed that sleep!" I said mostly to myself.

"So where are you bringing her?" Luke asked repeating one of my previous questions.

"Well there's this new horror movie that we both really want to see so we decided to go and then thought why not make a date out of it and go for dinner. But I want to make it special so Hannah, here's where you come in. Can you please make a picnic and I'll pick it up from you on the way back from the movie? Then I think we'll go up towards the lake and watch the sunset while we eat."

"Sure I'd love to help! Maybe I'll get Sam to help me too! When should it be ready by?" I asked excitement in my voice at the thought of helping Jai impress Ariana.

"Uhm around six?" He half stated and half asked.

"No problem. I'll get up now!"

"Great! Thanks Hannah. You're the best" he said as he gave me a kiss on the cheek. I laughed as he ran out the door and gave Luke a kiss before getting up to start on that picnic!

And to get some breakfast of course to satisfy my rumbling stomach!

Hey guys! I know it's been a while and I'm sorry! How is it? I know Ariana and Jai broke up but we planned this before that and we just decided to stick with it. There will probably be a couple of more chapters with flashbacks and then I hate to say it but the end will be near! Hope you enjoyed!
