Mini Skip ~ a Luke Brooks Love Story

Chapter 25

*Daniel's P.O.V*

I had the best couple of weeks with Sam. She was so beautiful. I think she might be the one. Everything's so easy with her. She's not just my girlfriend she's like my best friend. I feel like I can tell her anything.

Sam was coming over in an hour so to pass the time I decided to call Hannah. Her phone went straight to voicemail. That's weird I thought to myself. Next I tried Luke's phone, which also went to voicemail. 'They must be on a date or something' I though to myself. I called Jai and he answered on the third ring. "Hey man" I said to my good friend. "Hey bro what's up?" Asked Jai. "Oh I just wanted to call Hannah but she didn't answer and neither did Luke, are they okay?" I asked. "Eh" said Jai awkwardly. "What?" I asked curiously. "Ehh" Jai dragged on as if this wasn't something he wanted to talk about "They had a fight" said Jai really fast. "WHAT?!" I shouted "what did he do?!" I asked Jai. "Uhh I gotta go now" said Jai. "YOU BETTER NOT HANG UP YOU LITTLE SHIT!!" I shouted through the phone. "Fine this is what happened" said Jai. He explained the whole story and by the end I was furious. "He called her a slut? I'm going to kill him!" I shouted slamming my fist on the coffee table.

*Luke's P.O.V*

I looked at hannah from across the table. She looked breathtaking she had her long hair pinned up with little curls falling down around her face. "What?" She asked me as I snapped out of my trance. "Oh sorry I just can't stop looking at you, you're so beautiful" I said to her with a small smile. She blushed and thanked me.

When we finished our food I asked her out she like to go onto the paddle boat. She nodded and walked behind me to the dock. I got in first and then helped Hannah in.

I took both the paddles and began to sail us around the lake. It got pretty warm so I ended up taking my top off. "You're next" I said to hannah with a wink. "Cheeky" she replied sticking her tongue out.

We must've gone around the lake about 20 times just talking about life and people and school and our future.

"Hannah?" I asked breaking the silence. "Yeah" she replied sweetly staring into my eyes. "Ehh" I said before stopping paddling the boat "I just wanted you to know that I was really tired the other night and I was annoyed at beau for not taking my mum to the airport and if it had of been any other time I wouldn't of reacted the way I did. I'm really sorry Hannah I didn't mean anything I said and you're defiantly not a slut. You're probably the furthest thing from it" I said thankful to get it off my chest. "Luke I know, I already forgave you, it's okay" she said with a smile. "I love you" I said kissing her soft lips. "Love you too Lukey" she said sticking her tongue out. "Don't call me lukey" I said in frustration. "Or what?" She said with a cheeky grin. Next thing she knew she was in the water. "LUKE!!" She screamed as she splashed around trying to get back to the boat. "I warned you" I said with a laugh. I put out my hands to help Hannah back on the boat but she took that opportunity to pull me in with her.

We spent hours laughing and joking I the lake until it was dark and we had to go home. It was the best date ever. We both got ready for bed and when I went in to Hannah's room to kiss her goodnight I heard her say "no stay with me". I smiled and got in beside her. She buried her face in the crook of my neck and wrapped her arms around my waist. I gently played with her hair until she fell asleep. That was the first night in two weeks that Hannah didn't have a nightmare.
