Junkyu POV

I went inside XG building with a wide smile on my face. It felt as though it has been ages since I came here, and I missed it.

Our building wasn't big. It is probably less than a quarter the size of JW Group building. But Jihoon and I built it with our own money, with our own vision on what our first company is going to look like. We gave our inputs on basically every corner and every inch of this building. It's ours. It's...us.

"Good afternoon, Junkyu-ya. How are you?" Greeted Kyu Hee from her reception post. The girl is short, probably around my bicep tall with her kitten heels on. She reminds me of unicorn cotton candy, how she always wore pastel colored clothes, and her soft features, and sweet smile.

"I'm great, Kyu Hee, thank you. What about you? Any interesting things happen when I'm not around?" I asked, leaning against the counter.

"Oh, you didn't miss out much. Just the usual liveliness from your group of wild men." She shrugged then peered closer. "Do you know? Last Tuesday, JeongWoo lost a bet with Jaehyuk and he had to strip down in front of the building? Don't tell him, but the guy is packed. He's the new hots right now."

I chuckled and shook my head in amusement. I could imagine what JeongWoo's face looked like. It was him who lost the bet but I'm the one who felt second-hand embarrassment.

"Are those for Rose Eonnie?" She asked, glancing at the flower bouquet, the cake box and the champagne I put down on top of the counter.

"Hmm." I nodded. "I missed her birthday."

"If you're not taken, I'm going to think you have a lover in this office." She said. I gave her a questioning look. "Who even give that many red roses to a friend? OH! SHOT! Don't tell me you and Rose Eonnie..." Her eyes went wide as she covered her mouth with both hands.

"Aeee.." I waved a hand to erase whatever thought she had in her head. "I just randomly asked the florist for a bouquet. Never knew red roses never meant for a friend. I thought it's a universal flower, no?"

I told her the truth. The only two types of flower that I'm familiar with are hydrangeas and amaryllis. Besides, I was rushing to the cake shop right after I asked the florist to make me a bouquet. Whatever bouquet that is available.

She sighed dramatically. "You're helpless. Never knew you're not the romantic type of guy. You should learn from Noa." She then made a dreamy face, supporting her chin with the back of her hand, looking at whatever that is on the ceiling. "He's every woman's dream."

I chuckled and shook my head again. "I thought JeongWoo is the hots right now?"

She narrowed her eyes. "But JeongWoo is taken, like you. And who even dares to take him from Lyn? Sorry, but I still want to live." She said with a huff. Oh, I love this girl.

Our conversation was cut short by a call from my phone. I took it out and saw Noa's name on it. "I gotta go. Your dream guy is looking for me." I showed her my screen before I rejected the call. I'm already here anyway, why bother answering his call.

I put my phone back into my coat pocket then grabbed all my stuff from the counter. I was about to walk towards the elevator when Kyu Hee called, "Junkyu-ya.." I turned my face to her. "Glad to see you again." She smiled.

I returned her smile and mouthed a thank you.

The thing that makes XG so much different from JW Group, including its Japan record label, was the way we considered ourselves as a big family. Be it with our artists, talents, employees and even our cleaning service and security personnel. We didn't bow at each other, we waves and nods. We didn't call each other with titles, but simply with our names and casual honorifics.
