Haruto POV
"You look like shit." SeungJoo said as soon as I entered my office, making me roll my eyes.
"Don't say anything. Not when you and Lisa purposely avoided my calls." I retorted as I took my suit jacket off and hung it on the standing hanger before brisk my way to my chair.
The girl I mentioned giggled as she put down freshly brewed coffee on my desk. "What did he ask this time?" She probed, turning her tablet on and pulled the stylus to take a note.
"Ben & Jerry's, at 3AM. And I'm so done with this pregnancy thing." I replied with a scoff as I took my laptop out from my briefcase. I then turned it on, getting it ready to accompany me for the whole day. "I mean, among all ice cream brand we have in stock at home, he had to crave for the one we didn't have and impossible to find in convenient stores"
"Then?" SeungJoo raised his brow. The corner of his lips twitched and I could see amusement glints in his eyes.
"I drove to Jaehyuk and Asahi Hyung's house after they told me their twins still have some left. And you know what? Junkyu already fast asleep when I reached home." I groaned, remembering the stupid look on my face when I stepped into the bedroom with a bucket of cold ice cream only to find Junkyu Hyung purring soundly under the blanket, like he did not just woke me up, whined for ice cream and made me drove out when I supposed to sleep.
Both SeungJoo and Lisa burst out laughing, slapping their thighs and holding their stomachs. They pretty much enjoying my torture of Junkyu Hyung's outrageous cravings for the past month. The first two weeks of us came back from our vacation, as my PAs, both SeungJoo and Lisa helped me fulfilling Junkyu Hyung's cravings, until he was no longer want to touch those source of diabetes unless I got them myself and he would keep whining and showing distressed look until he satisfied.
"You could've said no, but I know you're too whipped for your husband." SeungJoo broke the obvious news, and I rolled my eyes.
"Come on. Brief me now. Don't waste my time." I demanded.
My two PAs chuckled before they straightened their posture and began to act professionally. SeungJoo started my daily schedule briefing, telling me all the meetings I have to attend today, complete with the time, duration, agenda, and whatnot. And Lisa jumped in to remind me of the tasks that I haven't done yet, including reviewing some business plans, giving feedback on proposals, signing a couple of agreements and so forth.
By the time they were done, I felt they'd stolen a year of my life away from me. I have too much work to do, I'm not sure a normal person would be capable of doing all that work in a day. It was my fault though. After my return from Maldives, I couldn't balance between work life and personal life. I kept pushing my tasks and now Lisa had to tell me in repeat every morning.
"Sir, you have an event invitation next week from Shinsegae Group. You haven't confirmed your attendance. Should I?" Lisa asked, while scrolling on the tablet with her pen.
"What is this event about again?" I inquired. Attending our rival's party is not on the list of my favorite things to do.
"Poiret new store opening on their main branch." SeungJoo answered.
"Hmm.. Tell Kim Jisoo or Kim Sae ron to go on my behalf." I said as I looked down to my laptop and opened my days of forgotten emails.
"Are you sure? My informant said Artistry's regional director for East Asia is going to attend the event. You've been trying to approach him for the past six months." SeungJoo said and it caught my interest.
I aimed for JW Department Store to have an exclusive contract with that beauty brand so we would be the only department store in South Korea that could sell their products, but their regional director was a hard guy to please. He didn't bat an eye for us and even got closer with Shinsegae Department Store.
