New day means you start refresh

New day means you start refresh. I am thankful it is a day the shop is open and today I have a full schedule. Staying busy will help to keep my mind off of what happened yesterday and changing things.

Bethany wanted to stay the night with me at my apartment, but finally after assuring her she relented. That didn't stop her from texting me repeatedly through the night and this morning.

With my station set up and things cleaned for the day. I walk in the back and turn on the small music box on. A little music through the day will help along with all the talking.

Hopefully, today we will get more of the color dyes that seem to be on back order just about all the time. The new rage seems to be adding in random colors due to new trends. Which also means it is harder to get the color in, because those colors don't get produced as much.

I move over and take my phone out of my pocket. Placing it on the counter top in the corner, the mirror catches my eye.

Giving myself a once over again. I run my fingers through my hair, that has grown down to the middle of my back. It has been a while since I had a cut last. Might be time to have Bethany give me a new hairstyle.

The door chimes go off and I look over my shoulder as Bethany and Chasity walk in.

"Morning." They say in unison.

"Morning. Looks like we are all three booked for today."

"I should still be able to take walk ins between clients." Bethany smiles.

"You work fast with the scissors. Shame no coloring in on your schedule for today."

"That is the truth. Even when coloring while the color rests, I can still help with walk ins."

"Chasity on your board there is a perm coming in this morning. If you need help don't be scared to ask." I smile to her.

It is the first perm that she will be doing within the shop and they can be tendeous.

"Will do! I am actually excited to work one and it not being during schooling."

"How did that go in schooling?"

Chasity tilts her head side to side with a funny face showing.

"It could have went better. The curls got to tight the poor lady looked like a poodle and she wanted it a light perm."

I laugh some and composs myself.

"So if a client wants a light perm with waves, go for the larger rods and not as long for the chemicals. That will help keep from having the tight curl effect."

"Not to mention every hair is different so try to keep a close watch because some clients hair will take way to fast. If the perm comes out tight it also makes it hard for brushing out without it hurting." Bethany chimes in.

Chasity nods and smiles. "Thanks, got it!"

Before long it is mid-day and we all had a client in our chairs. Chasity done well with the perm and had me walk over once to make sure the chemicals were setting right and they were.

The deliver guy arrived right when I was washing out on of my cleints hair. Bethany took over that and squealed when she opened the box. Our wild colors came in. I may just have to add a blue streak through mine for the fun of it all.

The chatter goes by in full. My current client is such a sweetheart. She is telling me all about her daughter that has been looking at pictures not knowing what cut she may actually want.

"Why don't you bring her in one day? I would love to have her sit in my chair and we can go over them together. See which style may fit her better." I smile.

"Oh, that is a perfect idea. Thank you so much Athena. I knew when she wanted it I was bring her here because you're the best."

"Thank you, I am flattered. You have been coming in since I opened up."

A loud crashing sounds out and glass is throw everywhere. We all scream and dive down to the ground. My alarms start to blare out.

I look up and make sure our clients are on the floor out of their chairs. All three seem to be unharmed.

Slowly, I make my way to stand up and Bethany seems to be doing the same.

"Is everyone okay?" I ask out.

I take my phone and call the Officer that gave me his card yesterday. I know the alarms will notify the police station, but I am worried this ties in with the threat from yesterday. Meaning the guy must be in town if it is the same one.

"We are fine over here." Bethany calls out.

"Same here. Just a little shaken up." Chasity answers.

The phone rings as I wait for the Officer to pick up.

"Hello?"

"This is Ms. Greg. I spoke with you yesterday and now my shop window was just busted in."

"Are you at Hair Expressions. 562 Corner Street?"

"Yes this is my shop."

"We just got the dispatch signal and on the way now. Try not to touch anything."

I hung up the phone.

"Officers are on their way now. Why don't we all move over to the corner?"

Everyone nods and we walk off to the side where there is not any glass.

"I apologize for this ladies. I will make sure this appointment is complimentary."

"No, hun. I will pay for my hair cut. Please don't do that for me. None of this is your fault, but I love how you are and show your care." My client pats my arm.

The sirens could be heard as they get closer with each passing second. The little problem seems to have drawn a crowd to gather outside. Many people that were walking the street now stand in a circle around my shop.

"Ms. Greg." I look over to see the Officer.

He walks over and looks over the six of us.

"Is everyone okay in here?" A tall handsome stud steps up asking us.

My mouth goes dry just looking at him. I shouldn't be like this after what literally just took place.

A/N---
Hey Hey Guys!!!

Just who could the handsome stud be?

Things are moving fast but could this event be tied to the threat she got yesterday? Or just a random act from maybe a mad client?
