Two years later...

"Where is the guys?" Bethany whispers in my ear.

"They said they would be here by now but guess they got held up at the store." I shrug lightly since I have been nursing my smallest baby girl, Gale.

After almost four years we had our second child. Today though our oldest turns five. Christy is such a sweet girl and always happy.

Christy requested that her birthday party be a ballerina themed party. So the house has been full of decorations for her today that Zack helped to put up this morning.

"I'm curious where they had to go." Molly smiles walking in with my five year old on her hip.

"I don't even know." I smile as Christy moves down to the floor coming over.

"Is she ready to play now?" Christy pats my leg since I have a cover up over Gale and myself.

"Not yet honey." I smile and Gale unlatches so I move her and fix my shirt before removing the cover up. "You know she can't play with toys yet since she is only five weeks old."

"But she does play with me mommy. I make funny faces and she smiles." Christy smiles then kisses Gale's cheek as I move to burp her.

"Grandmaw is here." Mom walks in and followed by Zack's mom.

"Grandmaws!" Christy almost shouts and makes Gale cry as she runs over to them at the door.

Their arms hold a gift bag each. "The rest are coming with the other gifts."

"Mom she has more than enough." I laugh as Gale calms from the sudden scare.

"Let me see the cutie." Zack's Mom takes Gale.

"Foods on the plates and waiting for when we eat." Molly sits next to me.

Bethany places the new gift bags on the floor by the couch where there is already a pile of gifts.

The front door opens and I can't stop the laughter that seeps from me. As where us ladies have on tutus for Christy, the guys each have one on now as well.

"Yay! Look everyone is like a ballerina now." Christy jumps for Zack who hugs her tight.

"Anything for my princess." He smiles.

"But I am a ballerina not a princess." Christy frowns and Zack puts her on her feet to tickle her ribs.

"Oh I am sorry. Yes you are a beautiful ballerina. Forgive me?" Zack pouts making Christy laugh.

"I wasn't ever upset just wanting you to know there is a big difference." Christy giggles before going over to Brit who is more like her Uncle.

Zack opens his mouth in shock.

"Dude you just got served by your own daughter." Brit laughs which makes his green tutu bounce.

"I need a picture of this." Mom laughs and has her phone out with Zack's mom right with her since Molly has Gale now. The bassinet never is in use when we are all together but it brings me joy seeing my babies happy.

"I'm here." An out of breath Chasity walks through the door. "Traffic was ridiculous and Tony had to work a double shift so it's just me."

"Aunt Chasity!" Christy laughs and makes way to her arms next. She gasps, "You even have on ballerina slippers."

"I think you might like my gift for you then." Chasity smirks.

"Can I open them now Mommy? Everyone is here." Christy looks to me.

"Why don't we eat first?" I suggest and she puts her bottom lip out with many of the others follow her actions making me laugh. "Go ahead." That is all it takes before Christy dives into the mountain of gifts Dad finished bringing in.

"No way!" Christy shrieks and pulls out a pair of ballerina slippers.

"I knew she like them." Chasity smiles wide.

Tissue paper and gift wrap is covering my floor in the living room as the guys hopelessly try to pick it up behind Christy. It doesn't take her long to have torn into everything and gushing over each item in happiness.

Food is ate as the gifts are on hold momentarily and we all catch up on different things. Molly and Bethany are still holding the hair salon down for me since Gale is still so young I plan to return to work next week but just been doing the financial part remotely from home. Zack and Brit have been busy with new cases and our parents have a planned cruises coming up.

As I clean the kitchen with the others we notice the living room got fairly silent. With slow movements we look around the doorframe to see Christy dancing around with the guys attempting with her to a movie playing on the television.

"This is harder than it looks." Brit grits out and Zack agrees.

"We are not limber for this." Zack whispers as their legs move behind them and their arms in the air.

None of us can stop our laughter and the guys stop the dance to look back at us ladies while Christy keeps up with the ballerina moves.

Time passes and everyone leaves for the night. I sit on the couch after carrying a sleeping Christy to her bed. Gale is sleeping in her bassinet as Zack is putting toys in the large toy box in the corner, since half her toys are in here and half in her bedroom.

"I think she had a fun day." Zack smiles when he sees me.

"It was just what she wanted and she wouldn't let that soft plush ballerina doll go tonight." I smile as he wraps his arms around me.

"How about you take a hot shower? The girls are sleeping and Gale fed recently. Then after I will have you a nice cup of hot tea ready with a movie for us to watch."

I smile and kiss Zack before wrapping myself back in his arms.

"That sounds nice, thank you."

He kisses the top of my head and I let his warmth surround me a few minutes longer before taking a shower. There is still no other place I feel the safest but in his Protective Arms.
