Right as I am cleaning the salon with Bethany and Chasity my phone vibrates on the counter. Taking a moment to steal myself with a deep breath, I know he is behind bars and I won't be getting anymore messages from him.
Picking up my phone to see Zack sent a message letting me know he will be working overnight makes my heart drop.
"Why the sad face?" Bethany bounds over.
After the time this morning she has been close and very quick to make sure I don't need anything. However, I might just have a way to help calm her at the same time as myself.
"Zack is going to be out all night."
"Working on the case to finish it?" Chasity steps up.
"Yes, he wants it to be a done deal. So looks like I will be alone tonight at my apartment. Unless you both would like to have a girls night?" I put my hands at my shoulder height and act like they are a weighing scale to get a smile from them both.
"Count me in!" Chasity laughs.
"Me too! We all need it. Plus what could go wrong with some mani's and take out?" Bethany giggles.
"Absoutely nothing can go wrong!" I laugh.
We take a few minutes to look over different food options. Together we are in the mood for some egg rolls and noodles. We done a mass order because those can be reheated too for left overs later.
Together we walk out the door and I turn to lock it up. Since Chasity drove Bethany in today car pooling, they got in her car and followed me to my apartment.
There is a small bit of nerves going through me, making my stomach flip and roll. My hands are slightly sweating and shaking some right when I put the car in park. I haven't stayed here other than the night it happened with Zack.
Chasity walks up and knocks on my window with a sad smile. I get the keys and my bag getting out.
"Are you sure you don't want to stay somewhere else? We could go to my place." Chasity looks between Bethany and I.
"No. I have to get over this and just keep reminding myself he is behind bars. I won't let him control me or what I do."
Bethany wraps me in a hug and the three of us walk up to my door. Putting my key in the lock I turn and open the door. With the flip of the light switch my breath releases when I see everything is just how I left it when picking things up.
"Pick any spot to put your bags down." I turn back and smile at them.
The food arrives and Bethany looks through my movie collection. We settle on a slightly older film, Bad Moon, so I probably won't be sleeping at all. Everyone loves the moments of surprise though just to get a little yelp or scream, besides I have seen it so many times that it doesn't affect me much anymore.
We munch on our food and one time Chasity stopped chewing mid bite because of the beginning part. It took everything in me to not laugh not only because I had a bite of food in my mouth but also because this is one of my favorite things about scary type films others reactions.
Chasity finishes her food and grabs the nail polish along with a nail trimming set.
"Just give me your hand and I will get to work." Chasity looks at me a little wide eyed.
"We can change movies if you want. There doesn't have to be any scary films. Honestly what just happened we could probably live without them." I suggest.
"No it is okay. I got to get over it." Chasity laughs and leans up to me as Bethany is glued to the tv.
"I was worried with a romance and what she went through." Chasity whispers.
I nod my head and agree, we both let Bethany be the one to choose the movie and she wanted this so here we are.
There is times Chasity will stop working on my nails and turn to watch the movie. She is at the polish stage and she seems to be in deep focus when the tv made one of those loud sounds and she yelps out jumping some. My laughter is ten fold because she was not even watching the screen.
Chasity is quick to take some of the remover and clean my skin off with the extra polish while she shakes her head some.
"You got to admit that was down right hilarious. Why is it with movies we can tell them don't go in there and they do anyways?" Bethany laughs.
"It is part of the thrill factor I guess."
"Thrill nothing. More like pee your pants time." Chasity mumbles with a small huff, making another round of laughing to happen.
My nails dry fast with the machine she has and then I get started on her nails, while Bethany went for another movie and thankful for Chasity not a thriller.
While her nails are drying, I get to work on Bethany's and as far as trimming or shaping hers is perfect so simple color pick and polish. Between the three of us we have different colors but they honestly suite us. Bethany has a dazzling blue, Chasity has a purple color, while I have a sparkle pink.
With the second movie over and the food put away, we all start yawning. My heart drops about being in my bedroom.
"So do we gather blankets and pillows to slumber in here on the carpet or we can just all jump in my king size bed?"
"Bed!" Both answer together, making me giggle.
I double check the lock on the door and turn the lights off to join the girls in my room. Moving over to the closet, I pull out three overly large shirts and we each take turns in the bathroom.
Being the last one in the bathroom I flip the lights off and crawl on the bed. Bethany in the middle with Chasity on the opposite side of me. This is definitely different, sure Bethany and I have shared beds in the past due to sleep overs but it has been forever since just doing a girls night and it was one we all needed.
My mind wonders to how Zack is doing but I don't message him because he is working and the last thing I want is for him to get distracted. Maybe he can get done with everything soon to come back quicker.
A/N---
Hey Hey Guys!!!Girls night definitely needed? Got to see the three of them pretty much calm and relaxed.
How much longer could Zack be trying to wrap up the case for his part?
