~~~~~~~~~Sara's POV~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
He took me to the aquarium.
He didn't know I'd been there before.
"I thought you might like it here," He said.
"It's really cool" I said, staring in at the creatures. "I think I'd find this ship a lot more interesting if I wasn't a captive on it."
"I try not to think of it like that. At least, I didn't when I was free." He said, standing so close I could feel his heat.
"So... we better start looking" I said, staring at a translucent tentacled fish type thing.
"Looking for what, love?" He asked.
"Some other escape." I murmured. "That hole can't be the only mistake on this entire ship."
"It wasn't, I've found others in the past. But I think it might be the last. Darling, every time I get caught, the escape routes get fixed." He said.
We walked down the hall a bit more and stopped to look into the aquarium further down.
"This. This is wrong. I mean I see how it makes sense but It's still wrong. I'm going to get home, and when I do you can come with me." I whispered.
"You're sweet love." He said, wrapping his arm around my shoulder and leaning in.
"At least we have each other. We can talk, keep each other company. I'm sure you have a lot of stories. And I could tell you what earth is like." I offered.
He was glaring into space, and didn't seem like he'd been listening to a thing I'd just said.
"Darling, we don't have to escape. They'll let us out." He whispered, a small grin sliding across his face.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"You'll see love." He smiled warmly.
I yawned.
"Let's get you back to your room." He said, taking my hand as we walked through the hallway.
~~~
I turned the handle and the door swung open.
"You sure you're alright?" I asked as he walked in.
"I'm wonderful love. Trust me, this isn't the worst that's happened to me. I'll be right here, darling. I can't regenerate until I've fully healed. I'll stay here with you." he said, half sitting- half laying on the bench.
"Goodnight" I whispered.
I pressed the button and stepped into the tube. Something I'd become accustomed to doing by now.
---------------------------------------------------------------
When I woke up, he was there. Althazar was actually there. It was the first time he'd really waited for me. It was the first time he hadn't done something stupid while I was sleeping.
At least that's what I thought.
"Morning love." He said when I stepped out of the tube.
"What are we doing today?" I asked.
"Nothing left to do but wait." He smiled.
I gave him a confused face.
"Actually, I need to eat. I haven't been regenerating." He said.
"Okay." I nodded.
We left the room and headed to the stairwell. The food production happened on the same floor as the med ward.
