~~~~~~~~~~~~~Sara's POV~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The next day I woke up from regeneration to find Althazar waiting in my room.
"Took you long enough, dear." He murmured as I stepped out of the tube.
"You've been waiting for me? Why? What's going on?" I asked.
"What's going on? We've been hired, lovely." He said cheerfully.
"Hired?" I questioned, "To do what?"
"Exactly what we just did. To go out into the planets and collect the species!" he said, beaming with excitement.
"Oh." I paused, considering. "We? As in, you and me? Because I'm not to sure I want to be doing that. I'm not planning on staying here, you know. In fact I should probably be talking to your leader right now, trying to make some sort of plea bargan to get myself off this ship." I said.
He shook his head in dissapointment, "I really thought you were coming around." He said, somewhat sarcasticly. That is, if aliens use sarcasm...
"Well, I've told you once and I'll tell you again, there's no way Zilortsium is going to let you off this ship." Said Althazar.
I shrugged. "we'll see." I said calmly.
I went to the door and turned the handle.
"So where is she?" I asked, pushing the door open.
"Honestly love, I'd advise you not to bother her." Said Althazar, following me out the door.
"I know." I said.
I was walking down the hall towards the stairwell, Althazar tailing behind me.
"Where are you going?" He asked.
"To find her." I answered simply. "Or you could save me the trouble and tell me where she is."
We entered the stairwell and I started heading up. It just seemed logical that someone of high authority would be stationed on the highest floor.
"You know, I was thinking we'd do something fun today," said Althazar.
"Oh ya, like what?" I asked, still climbing stares.
"Oh, I dont know, maybe take a trip around the ship, get a look at the stars." He said.
"Sounds fun." I replied.
But honestly, I hated flying.
"Alright then let's go," Althazar insisted.
"After I talk with that alien." I said solomly.
"She's never going to talk to you, darling." He replied.
Still, I continued up the endless stairs, beginning to slow down as my legs got tired.
"How many floors are there?" I complained.
Althazar lauged.
"You humans get tired fast," he jeered, jogging up ahead of me to make it look easy.
"Shut up." I growled.
Finaly I could see the end. We had reached the last stair case. I bounded up to the top. Sure enough there was one lone door waiting at the top.
"Is this it?" I asked, fully aware that he probably wouldn't tell me if it was.
"ya." He admitted.
"Thanks." I smiled. I walked up to it and waited for it to open.
And waited...
"Damn it," I snarled, turning to look at his grinning face. "Don't tell me this thing doesn't open."
"Not unless you're her." He muttered, holding back a smile.
For a moment I was furious, but then I had an idea.
"Fine then. I'll just wait right here untill she comes out." I stated, crossing my arms and leaning against the wall next to the door.
Althazar shook his head, "you're gonna miss out, love." He said, beginning to walk down the stairs.
Damn it. This really did suck. I didn't know how long that alien would be hold up behind that door. As althazar's footsteps got farther and farther away I started feel like something good was slipping away. Standing in front of this door all day would be a waste of time if she never came out.
I took a breath and ran back down the stairs towards him.
"Althazar, wait!"
