In a large forest, a small village rested. The people were pleasant and everyone knew each other. It would appear peaceful to a mere traveller, but alas that was not always the truth. Terrors would creep upon the town ever so often. Only these terrors were never thieves, bandits, murderers. Oh no, they were far worse.

Dragons. Ones that traveled deep underground. The village rested rather close to their territory. These dragons were known as Wurmlings, more specifically they were Earth Wurmlings. They would not attack often. But they would come to the surface for food and water, although rarely in the village.

There are 8 different species of dragons, 4 being the Elementals and 4 being the Celestials. Ocean, Earth, Air, Fire, Chaos, Ionics, Light and Void. The Elemental wurmlings were rather easy to come across in the correct environments, however the Celestial wurmlings were much harder to find.

The people either feared or hated the dragons, all but one...

It was a beautiful evening in the village, the citizens minding their own while going about their day. The clanging of a hammer striking a forge  could be heard, the blacksmith working upon his latest creation. Children played in the streets, not having a care in the world.

A man sat against one of the structures, looking rather filthy and thin. Citizens passed him by without a second glance. He held his head down as he knew not one person would care. The man grabbed a bottle of whiskey that sat next to him, taking a large swig.

"I don't believe it's wise to drink on an empty stomach." A voice said.

The dirty man looked up to see a young lady standing there. She had lovely dark brown eyes, brown hair and a kind smile. Her attire consisted of a single shoulder plate of armor, 2 arm plates, chestplate, leather boots, a black dragon skin cape and a gorgeous necklace with a blue pendant resembling the eye of a Dragon.

"Here, take some of this."

She reached into a satchel and tossed him a small pouch, the man catching it. He would open it to find several gold pieces, his eyes going wide as he looked back to the young lady.

"That will be enough to last you a week if you ration it." She told him.

"Thank you, lass. I have never seen you here before, are you traveling?" He asks.

She thought about it for a moment.

"Not exactly, I have come here to settle down. It seems I have picked the perfect place."

The man sighed and shook his head.

"I wouldn't call it perfect, this town lives in fear of the Earth dragons..."

The girls eyes lit up upon hearing word of dragons living nearby.

"It's perfect to me. Anyhow, you have a good day now."

She turned and started walking away, the man standing up and looking to her dragon skin cape.

"I take it you are a Dragon Knight?" He asks.

Her eyes went wide and she stopped, looking over her shoulder.

"No. I would rather be caught dead for being unfaithful than drive a sword through a dragons skin..."

Her tone was firm and angered. The man was left speechless. Someone who wore armor and a dragon skin cape, not a Dragon Knight? She carried no weapons at all, not even a small knife for defense. She was mysterious, he thought.

"May I get your name?" He asks.

The girl smiled, "My name is Skylana."

"Skylana...it was a pleasure."
