After some time I had returned home. The joy and disbelief I felt was immeasurable. Conversing with the Father of Earth was amazing, an experience I shall never forget as long as I live.

But as joyful as I may be, I was also worried for the Eldwurm. He mentioned that he was going mad and it was affecting the wurmlings. Not only that, but the mention of a great evil. What could that have meant? He could be referring to the Dragon Knights, only they are not so much evil as they are arrogant and prideful. I have not a clue as to what to think, but exercising caution sounds like the perfect thing to do.

As of now, I am polishing my beloved Dragon Eye necklace. Looking at its beautiful sheen in the sunlight made me think of my mother. How I wish I could have met her from the stories my father told me. He always said I reminded him very much of her, how I had her luscious brown hair and dark brown eyes...

"Skylana! Come here a moment!" My father's voice called.

"Coming Papa!"

I had been sitting under a tree behind our small home in our home village. I stood up and ran towards the house, running up the stairs and through the front door. I began to screech to a halt until my father's chair stopped me. I grunted and fell after ramming into it. My father picked me up off the floor.

"You really should learn to slow down, little one." He told me.

"Neverrr!!" I laughed.

He would only chuckle before sitting in his chair, placing me in his lap.

"What is it, Papa?" I asked.

My father smiled.

"You're growing up fast, and now I believe it's time I gave you this."

He held up a small wooden box. My younger self was curious as to what it contained. My Father opened the box and there sat the Dragon eye necklace. I gasped at how pretty it was, stars in my eyes.

"Papa, what's this?"

"Your mother's necklace. I've kept it all these years as a promise to her, she wanted you to have it once you were old enough."

My father took the jewelry and placed it around my neck, adjusting it to be the proper length. I marveled at its beauty and gently touched the pendant.

"You remind me of her more every single day."

"What was she like, Papa?"

"She was a beautiful woman, her kindness knew no bounds, her compassion toward others always brought me to a smile."

"Awww..."

I shook my head free of the memory and found myself staring at the Dragons eye. He never knew where Mother had gotten the necklace, only that it looked very realistic. I hoped it was never a true Dragon eye, but it shall remain a mystery unless I discover its origin.

"That should be enough polishing for now."

I put away the cleaning liquid and cloth before I put the necklace on. I had always considered it a good luck charm, for many good things have occurred whenever I wore it. Such as encountering the wurmling and meeting Uldorak.

My mind wandered back to the thought of him experiencing the upcoming madness, yet he was calm and collected when we met. His death and reincarnation shall set the wurmlings straight. For that, I pray that it's soon.

"Skylana?"

The voice broke me from my thoughts and I looked up.

"Oh, hello again Davion."
