Anyone who attempts to harm my mare has a death wish. I was more than willing to face them, but mention of being taught by a Dragon Knight frightened them off. Perhaps if I meet them again. The sword I had summoned back at the cave made an appearance once more, but I didn't dare look at the blade itself. I have seen a blade do many things, spilling blood being the first.

I had purchased the vegetables I needed and was readying to leave the market. That was until a glistening caught my eye. Glancing over, I could see what looked to be an old man manning another stand. Curiosity overwhelmed me. I have everything I need, a moment to look over his goods won't take long.

I approached his stand and began looking. He would have a wide assortment of unique items. Compasses, banners, a crate containing I presume maps, dream catchers, and many other things. Very interesting indeed. The old man turned around and saw me looking over his stock.

"What can I do you for?" He asks.

"Oh, I am just looking. I've been to several markets and never seen a booth like this before."

"That is because many people do not believe."

I was about to question him, but that was when he noticed my necklace with a gasp.

"That necklace...I recognize it."

"You do?"

"Yes. It was one of my father's creations. That stone right there is made of a mineral called Dragons Quartz. Rumor has it that it comes in many colors, and each color has different magical abilities."

This certainly intrigued me.

"The rumor of magic is true. I have seen it myself recently, for me it summons a mystical blade."

The old man seemed quite interested.

"Incredible...I myself have worked with Dragons Quartz and unfortunately haven't experienced anything. In fact, I have some of that jewelry right here."

He bent over and was heard rummaging through some things. The old man pulled out a small box containing rings, bracelets, and necklaces. Each one was very similar looking to mine, yet completely different. The colors of the stones I could see were White, Yellow, Purple, Green, Dark Blue, and Red Orange.

But none of my necklaces color. The Red Orange and White ones I couldn't look away from. Something about them felt familiar, much like when I looked into the demons eyes.

Suddenly, I heard what sounded like a baby crying and a gentle shushing. I could hear murmuring between 2 voices. One male, one female, but unfortunately I could not understand what they were saying as they spoke to one another.

"Miss?"

The old man's voice brought me back to reality.

"Apologies, my mind went elsewhere."

"It's quite alright. Sadly, I don't have any of the shade of the blue that you do. If I were to guess, it was found deep in dragon territory."

I only chuckled.

"Dragons do not frighten me. I have encountered many and even touched one."

The memory of Uldoraks death hit me in the face. Damn it, not now.

"By the Gods...are you that Dragon Speaker people have been talking about?"

I nod.

"I did not give myself that title, it was given to me after an Earth wurmling attack in the small village a little ways off from here. It charged at me but I held my ground. They are headstrong and can be quite stubborn, but are shocked when something smaller stands up to them."
