Hernos lowered his head upon seeing his daughter this way. But it had to be done, he thought. Davion had seen everything and rushed over, kneeling next to her.

"What the fuck was that stuff..?" He asked.

"She is fine, it was only to put both her and the beast to sleep. Now, we must be off to Dragonhold."

The young Dragon Knight held the unconscious Skylana close to him. He remembered the promise he made to her, to not let the other Knights take her there. He may not know what exactly she saw in Father but he saw how much he seemed to frighten her. She was no easy scare either. He knew what he had to do.

"No..." He growled.

Hernos was shocked to hear this.

"Pardon?"

Davion stood up, holding the girl in his arms.

"I said NO."

"Davion, you understand we are trying to help her. Don't you?"

"I do understand that. But didn't you see how scared she was when she saw you, she was terrified when Kaden mentioned Father. With ALL due respect, Hernos, I can't let you. I made her a promise."

Hernos turned his head toward Kaden. The Dragon Knight nodded and approached Davion, punching him right across the face. The young Dragon Knight grunted loudly, dropping Skylana to the ground as he too would fall unconscious.

"Apologies, brother..."

Kaden carefully lifted the unconscious girl up and walked towards his steed. Other Knights lifted up their downed brother and placed him upon another horse. Hernos slowly walked up to his own stallion and mounted, his wolf standing by their side.

Ava watched the exchange from a distance. Her blue eyes were fixated on her rider as one of the other Dragon Knights approached her. She would snort and back away from the Knight. The mare was not pleased whatsoever. She stomped her front hooves down as a warning.

"Easy..." The Knight said.

But she would not listen. Instead, Ava ran around them and toward the others. She whined loudly while charging at them. The Dragon Knights turned their heads to see the black mare charging at them.

Only they would notice something off. Her eyes were glowing a vibrant blue and her hoofprints were igniting with fire. Suddenly, a pair of black feathered wings manifested from flames at the mare's sides. The men were shocked to have seen such a thing. She was no true horse.

She was a Pegasus.

Ava charged the men and jumped into the air, soaring over them before blocking their path. She wasn't going to allow them to take her rider nor her friend. She would do what she could. The Pegasus would spread her wings in attempt to look larger, giving an angered whiney.

"I knew that she was no ordinary horse..." Hernos chuckled.

"What do we do about the Pegasus, sir?" A younger Knight asked.

"Use the remedy."

The Knight nodded and pulled out another small vile of the same substance that had rendered Skylana unconscious, throwing it at Ava. The bottle would shatter and shroud her in pink smoke. The Pegasus cried out in agony, attempting to blow it away with her wings. But alas, it was no use.

Ava would fall onto her side, her wings vanishing and eyes closing.
