The Luau

A/N: I just wanted to say a quick thank you to everyone who votes and comments on these stories! I generally get these posted at night so I don't usually see any notifications until I wake up. It's a nice sight to wake up to, so thanks again!

🍕Sam🍕
"Come on ___! Think how funny it would be!" Sam had his arm around you while you were milking your cow, Samantha. "I'm sure it would be Sammy, but last year I didn't put very good parsnips in the soup and I'd like to makeup for it this year. This is a chance to show off Starlight Farm produce, not the anchovies I caught yesterday morning." You finished your work and picked up the bucket with all the milk you've collected. "Come on honey your parsnips made the soup pretty good last year." "And this fresh milk is going to make it even better!" You proudly stated, taking the milk inside and pouring some of it in your cheese maker. "How about a deal then?" Sam offered. You hummed in response, bottling up the rest of the milk. "If the governor tries the soup and declares it the best soup he's ever had, then next year you have to put a weird fish into the soup!" You thought about it. Honestly it would be funny, but Lewis had the largest stick up his butt. If he found out you were the one who ruined next years soup, he would be incredibly angry with you for messing up the governors visit. You supposed you could always put something even better in the next year. You sighed, "Alright Sammy, deal" Sam smiled wide and fist pumped the air, "Yes!"

Of course, either because of your fresh milk or something else, the governor did declare this year's soup the best soup ever. You didn't even need to look at Sam to know he had the biggest grin on his face.

On the way back to your house after the Luau, Sam was holding your hand, smile still in his face. "I'll uphold the deal next year Sammy, but it's at least going to be one of the best weird fish I catch!" "I guess that's fair, I'm not sure how much that'll help though."

🏈Alex🏈
You were blushing madly and trying to cover yourself as much as possible. Somehow Alex convinced you to wear your swimsuit to the Luau since it's supposed to be a beach party, but you thought everyone else would be wearing theirs too. You were wrong, everyone was dressed as they normally were, except for Alex. Alex just had his swim trunks on and a fully unbuttoned shirt on to show off his torso. You were desperately trying to hide behind him, clutching the basket of fresh corn to you. "Alex you said people would wear bathing suits this year..." Alex just let out a small laugh, "Well I tried to convince everyone.." You let out a groan and hid your face in his back, "It'll be ok ___, why don't you go drop off your soup item off ok? I'll be right here" You nodded and quickly made your way to the soup, trying your best to avoid everyone's gaze.

The soup was a success, so you and Alex spent the rest of the Luau dancing on the beach and splashing each other in the water. Soon enough you forgot about your embarrassment before, you were too busy having fun with Alex.

"Harvey I'm fine really" you pushed the bottle of sunscreen away from you. Harvey frowned, "Mocha I don't want you to get sunburnt though! That's gonna hurt! This is preventative, please put some on" You sighed and adjusted the basket of duck eggs in your arm, "It's really fine Harvey, I'm not going to burn. I spend all day in the sun on the farm and haven't gotten burned yet" Harvey stared at you for a moment before putting his sunscreen away, "Well ok...I'll still have some aloe vera ready for you" You smiled and gave him a quick kiss, "Alright doc"

The Luau soup was a pretty good, thought not as good as past years. You were laughing along with Maru when Harvey approached you, moving very gingerly. It wasn't until you looked at him that you realized why, his face was completely red and burnt. "Harvey! What happened!?" You asked gently touching his face, he pulled back immediately, but you could feel the heat radiating off him. "My sunscreen wasn't enough, how are your burns?" You looked at Maru confused, she simply shrugged. "I...didn't get burned?" "Me neither" Maru chirped in. Harvey looked at both of you, "How!?"
