After the party, isa isa ng nagsialisan ang mga guests.

Bong was still busy sending them off when Sara approached him.

"Sir, mauuna na din po ako 8pm na kasi I need to go to Batanggas pa."

When he heard her, his face turned serious as he responded.

"Ah ganun ba? Sige. May sasakyan ka bang dala?" He asked

"Ay wala. Magpapasundo nalang ako"

Just as Sara said that, he saw Robin's SUV pull over.

At bago pa man siya makalakad papunta sa sasakyan, Robin got out of the driver's seat and walked towards their direction.

"Good evening po sir." He greeted Bong politely.

"Good evening din nice to see you again Senator Padilla" Bong said with a straight face as he shook Robin's hand.

Sara looked at the two feeling awkward so she quickly said.

"Mr President, alis na po kami malayo pa kasi pupuntahan namin" she said as she pretended to smile at Bong.

When Sara said that, Bong looked at her straight in the eyes.

At nung makita niya ang mata ni Bong, she remembered something kaya umiwas nalang siya ng tingin.

She knew that look so well..

That was the same look na laging nagpapahina sa kanya..

dati....nung sila pa.

She didn't know how to react but Bong suddenly spoke.

"Sige ingat kayo, I'll just reach out to your spokesperson VP pag may importanteng update na kailangan i discuss" Bong casually said

"Sige po sir mauuna na kami.. tara Ga!" Robin said while he placed his arm around Sara as they turned back.

Bong couldn't help but stare at the two as they were leaving. They looked so happy together.

The reality was, he was still in the moving on stage. Although he was doing well, there were so many nights that all he could think about was Sara.

And seeing her happy with Robin, made him think about the what ifs.

What if he didn't lie? What if she trusted Sara when she said na kaya niyang harapin lahat? What if hindi siya sumuko? What if nagpakatotoo siya?

So many questions running through his mind as he watched the two leave.

Then he said to himself.

"Ako dapat yan e. Dapat ako ang sumusundo at naghahatid sayo, dapat ako nagpapangiti sayo.. It hurts to see you happy with someone else love....pero kung ito lang ang paraan para makasama kita, kahit wala ng tayo.. I'll take it"

He was determined to keep her in his life even if it meant na friends and colleagues nalang sila.

Meanwhile in the car

"Ga, kumusta naman ang event, nag enjoy ka ba? " Robin asked with a smile.

For some reason, parang nagulat si Sara sa tanong nito.

She tried to remember the highlights of the event para i share sana kay Robin but whenever she tried recall kung ano nga bang masayang nangyari sa party, all she could think about was Bong.

Lalo na yung kakulitan nito which she hasn't seen in a while.

Sara knows na understanding si Robin but she was sensitive enough na wag na i bring up si Bong.

She was honestly scared na masaktan si Bin so she started to lie.

"Ay oo! Daming ambassadors dun.. ang kukulit, may sumasayaw with lolo dance moves, may chismoso, may tawa ng tawang chin...ah basta masaya" She said with a fake laugh when she realized na lahat ng dinidescribe niya kay Bin was Bong.

"Ah.. buti naman nag enjoy ka Ga. Pagdating sa resort, tulog ka na agad ah.. mukhang nakainom ka din ng konti e. Bukas nalang tayo mamasyal" Robin said as he grabbed her hand and gently pinched it.

When he did that, napatingin agad si Sara sa kanya. She was almost teary eyed while she was looking at him.

She couldn't help but pretend to talk to him in her mind.

"Don't worry Bin, Wala to.. siguro nanibago lang ako na friends na kami ni Bong..
Gagawin ko lahat to remove every bit of love and longing I have for him kung sakaling may natitira pa man.
I'll make sure na ikaw ang pipiliin ng puso ko.. just give me a little more time to figure it out".

Sa totoo lang, Sara was in denial. She knew that Bong still holds a big part of her heart pero ayaw na niyang balikan ang masakit na nakaraan nila ni Bong.

She's very contented and happy with Bin na din naman. Isa nalang talaga ang kulang...

Yung puso niya na hawak pa ng iba.
